I'm sorry. I've seen some random 10 minutes of the first half, but I can't listen to him. I hate his screeching. Seriously HATE it. I can't really understand how can somebody TOLERATE it, and obviously there are people who LIKE it which is quite a shock.
I agree. I wish we still had Queen + Paul Rodgers
Brian and Roger could have invited literally ANYONE to tour with them--Jeff Scott Soto, Paul Rodgers (again), Dave Grohl, Matt Bellamy, George Michael, Tom Chaplin, Nate Ruess, Marc Martel, Meatloaf, etc. (who have I forgotten?), but they didn't. They invited ADAM FUCKIN' LAMBERT! Deal with it!

And clearly touring with anyone doesn't actually work, since they had far fewer ticket sales during the QPR collaboration, so wrong again.

Ah yes I figured you were going to trot that out. Different times. Different publicity and Live Nation. Queen + PR would have sold out much faster than with goat throat.
Again, and try to get your wee mind to comprehend this. If Adam doesn't draw much on his own how is he suddenly drawing now? Wake up wee one
Different times, different publicity? Srsly? It was still Queen in North America all in the last 8 years, wasn't it? Are you saying Queen just didn't know how to put on a selling show or how to get publicity during the QPR era? Because I'm not buying it.
The difference between QPR and QAL is Adam Lambert, pure and simple. No matter how much you don't like that fact, there it is.

I'm not the one that needs to deal. You lusty older ladies need to slow your roll here. 1/2 Queen touring with a C-Lebrity doesn't affect my life in the slightest. I just choose to push back on the Lambert hyperbole. Some of you have the nerve to act like he's doing 1/2 Queen a favor! LOL. Your boy's career was on a nosedive before he was gifted this gig. " Tresspassing" was a flop. His label didn't want him anymore

Most of those people were busy with their own careers, didn't you know. GM was very ill for a bit.
Deal with it once Q+AL is over. I almost can see your rants now about it.

Dream on. Live Nation didn't exist years ago. Few people even knew about the PR shows. This has already been covered elsewhere. Adam Lambert adds VERY LITTLE to 1/2 Queen's draw. Just compare his own concert ticket sales to this one. Common sense, which is something you Lambgoat zealots are in dire need of. Brian & Roger had the American Idol and other American TV programs his time. Wake up wee one

"butturt"? What a stupid term. How old are you?
Look I don't begrudge Lamberace any success. He means nothing to me. What Brian & Roger do without Freddie means nothing to me. I haven't given them a dime of my money for anything outside of Freddie being attached to it

And I'm sure Inu will be here any minute to lay down the even modly hand.

No one--not Adam nor his "lusty" fans--have EVER said that Adam was doing Brian and Roger a favor! Both he and we are in total awe of Brian and Roger and the Queen legacy and consider it an amazing and awesome honor for Adam to be able to perform with them. I came to the other Queen site at the time of the European Music Awards in 2011 because I was so thrilled by this honor. It doesn't matter about sales, labels, etc. Adam will be fine and would have been fine with or without this tour. There is no guarantee that the tour will make a difference one way or the other for him. If it allows more people to know him, that will be a terrific boost for him. Really, the hyperbole has been mostly from the negative side than from the positive one!

Album 1 era: ~110 concerts, $6 million income.
Album 2 era: ~ 30 concerts, $5 million income.
Income in-between Era's 1 and 2 (while recording): $1.5 million
Anticipated income from this year and next: Better yet.
During Era 1 they didn't know how well he could fill the venues. They started out small, then had to add in additional dates, doubling up on some cities, adding venues in others, as they realized that demand was higher than anticipated.
Between Eras 1 and 2, not touring at all, except for several one-off and corporate events, and with no new release, Adam banked a nice income. I wonder how me managed that?
During Era 2 Adam got to play bigger venues and therefore had to work less concerts for almost the same amount of money he took home in Era 1. That's success by any measure.
Forbes lists run from May to May, and next years' will include income from his Glee project, along with some sponsorship deals in Asia. I suspect it will be a good number.
The Forbes list in the year after that will include the QAL project and perhaps part of his Era 3 sales. I suspect that number will be really, really good.
I have no worries about Adam's future, none at all.
