I will be 51 this November will i see those releases in my lifetime ? I hope so but in the meantime i enjoy fantastic box sets from Deep Purple, enjoy great concerts by Muse.I no longer let it frustrate me ,there are many other things in the Music world to enjoy.Of course if and when they come along i will part with my cash and enjoy them .

Before Tom Chaplin performed Its A Hard Life
'This song has never been performed live......'
Lie!
Maybe a thread should be started entitled Brian's Bullshit?
And another.....
'John sends us his blessing'
Of course he does !

Brian"s works with Kerry, including concerts and albums, is very separate of Queen. Although the duet covers Queen songs, they market their work as their own duet. As with other artists, principally Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert, Brian and Roger refer to themselves as Queen when collaborating with them. This IMHO is the slippery shadowy element of the current Queen work. If an album is made with Adam Lambert, will Freddie's 3 MJJ tracks go on the album, plus any other Freddie work stashed in a drawer somewhere? Very possibly so.
This has been discussed well on QOL, so my humble apologies for bringing it up here, but this seems to be the moment. My only take on it is Brian and Kerry, though a distraction from Queen work, do not affect Queen marketing and products in any way, and profits from the Candlelight Acoustics concerts and albums go largely to charitible orgs, mainly lions and badgers, but also probably cancer organizations.
So the issue at hand, IMO. is where will Q+ put its energy and materials. Current ideas seemingly are not pretty, but I would humbly ask to separate Kerry's partnering with Brian on Candlelight concerts from these zany Q+ projects. Meanwhile, I will continue to place Candlelight concerts in the Personal QZ subforum to emphasize the separate nature of their work from Queen.

Remember the press release recently where Queen renewed their contract with Universal Records?
From the press release:
'Switzerland, December 2, 2013 -- Queen and Universal Music Group have renewed their partnership with a new, long term deal that will herald a range of exciting projects from the band including a raft of rare and unreleased material and a film. '
'Max Hole, Chairman and Chief Executive of Universal Music Group International said: “We have loved working with Queen over last three years. Queen remains one of the biggest, boldest and most influential bands in the world. The band and Universal Music have lots of ambitious plans for the future”. '
So you would think that not only have the fans been promised things from QP over the years but now Queen have signed another contract with Universal that has signified their future intent.
I can imagine Universal would have an idea what fans have been asking for through market research and understand how much the demand will be for certain Queen related products. They must know that unreleased material WILL sell well as the contract does cover a lot of territories where Queen is still popular. The MJ tracks in particular must have been a good bargaining chip for QP to get the best deal. Universal WILL expect this material to be released eventually otherwise their relationship could be fractured. When this will be is anyones guess as QP's rush towards releasing their product (for 1970-1997) is glacial at best.

Hopefully work will not be hastily thrown together. After returning from the tour in late summer, the temptation to toss everything sloppily in a soup in order to satisfy promises is a bit worrisome. It would be disappointed at best to see Brian and Kerry's CA tracks included in an album combining full classical Queen, QAL, and FM/MJJ material. A sickening thought for sure. B&K's Candlelight Acoustics for me is Dr. May's compassion signature, and some of his most elegant and beautiful work. It deserves its own place away from other projects. AL fans may feel the same about QAL work. Separate project albums are needed with careful fastidious thought for organizational quality and artistic value, IMO.

I think people actually need to get real? Brian never rushes anything. As the 'new album' has proved. It took five years to do the Kerry Ellis album? His astronomy and photography probably takes preference over his music. Chances are it'll be released in time for Xmas to cash in on that market, if not then Xmas next year!

Being a fan of Queen = More disappointments than triumphs. It's gotten to the point I only consider myself a fan of Freddie and John. If Brian & Roger don't come through with this alleged MIH 2 like deal (with Freddie) then they are wankers and I know I'll move on away from their nadir

No way to original post! That stuff can be released when they are too old to tour. Playing live for us is way better than sitting at home and making sure they release obscure bsides. Cmon

yeah, that's why I gave up on Queen. I only came here sporadically to check what is new, but I only see the same old things since I joined in 2004: hopes and dreams.

I understand they enjoy playing, but we've been waiting ten years for this queen anthology package to come out. what a joke. I hate queen now![/QUOTE]
I feel your frustration. I too remember millennial announcements about a package in 2004 .
Fortunately for me life has been far too interesting/problematic/unusual these past couple of years to give much of a crap about it.
I don't understand why (what's left of) the band don't take it on themselves either. There has yet to be an accurate video account of this EXEMPLARY band from
the 1970's. That's embarrassing. It's HOW they accomplished so much. From the talented niche they were
