In the UK we have to pay duty on any item arriving (which isn't marked as "gift") which is worth more than (iirc) £36. I suspect most countries will have the same basic rules, if not the same £amount.
I've ordered things (like books for college) from Amazon.ca before, and it's never been any trouble (the only unpredictable thing is delivery times). You can go directly to www.amazon.ca and find the SuperDeluxe box-set listed for just CA$ 54.74 at http://www.amazon.ca/Live-Rainbow-Super-Deluxe-Box/dp/B00L22BHYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404917643&sr=8-1&keywords=Queen+Rainbow

They even offer "Pre-order price guarantee", meaning if the price rises, you pay the price at the time of placing your order, if it drops you pay the decreased price.

I've placed an order, including standard shipping it's €42,50 for me, GREAT deal!
Thanks for posting, that and the 4LP are a complete bargain compared to the prices being charged over here.

Wow ... who knew the Canadian Amazon would end up being so cheap ?

I already ordered it from amazon.co.uk and will pay the big shipping (and hopefully not duty) charges..

True, but I've never known it to be considerable on media products, although it was apparently pretty bad in The Netherlands in the '70s and '80s.

I see it's gone up from CA$ 54.74 to CA$68.37 now. Weird, but anyone who's already ordered has pre-order price guarantee.

I think Amazon .ca has copped on to all us Queen fans. When I checked last night the Super Deluxe Box Set was $54.74. Tonight its $68.37

The super deluxe boxset is also on No. 1 in the Music Bestsellers list of Amazon.ca. The LP box is No. 2. CD is No. 9. How surprising....

You'd almost wonder - would this be deliberate? A low price in Canada so more people will order it there, so the box will hit the top of the charts?

Nah, I think they're trying to cash in on the recent hype from the tour that just passed through over the last two weeks ;)

Still, this big a difference in price for the same product on different versions of Amazon is surprising. I've seen subtle differences in price for media products, but differences like this I've only ever seen for outdoor stuff and edged weapons, which for some reason are considerably cheaper in the US than the rest of the world.

When I went ahead with the order the delivery cost to Ireland was €27 so to hell with that, no thanks. Price hike over night and that delivery charge is just too much.

Really? To The Netherlands, it was only about CA$ 6,50. Did you choose one of the premium shipping options?

Nor really Thomas! It's price discrimination! Most people will simply pay the price on their local Amazon. Only people that have a bit more nouse will keep searching and find the lower price on Canadian Amazon. I remember I bought the Freddie 10 CD collection there and it was heaps cheaper! And then I got The Lot from there too!
