It will be a compilation of ballads with five inedit tracks at the end...

For that, I would prefer a ep with the inedit tracks. Or the famous box set with rareties.

You never know... If we're really lucky, Brian will listen to you and drop the unreleased tracks from this album.
There is after all a box set scheduled in 2015

What do we think the lead single will be; Love Kills or one of the Jackson tracks??

"Let me in" or "More to life".
I bet that mythical "Victory" is bad song.

At least it's something and more then we've had in most of the years since 1996.
I suppose when you look at it this year IS a good one for Queen fans. We're finally getting a 70s concert released and it looks like they've spared no expense or effort in creating a worthy product fitting for the band. 2 or is it 3 concerts and multiple types of release - 1CD, 2CD, blu ray, DVD, vinyls and comprehensive boxset with nearly everything included that you could ask for.
I know Greg Brooks comes in for some stick on here and elsewhere, but I'm sure his work is behind this release and possibly also behind the some of the tracks on this 'Queen Forever' release. It seems from listening to that recent podcast and the fact that he had collated a much better singles boxset back in 2006 (?) compared to what was actually released (the four smaller boxes we ended up with) that he had done plenty of work over the years and QP have hardly used any of this material except for the live releases.
A very small sample of tracks Greg has found over the years were used on the 'deluxe' 2nd disc of reissued studio albums in 2011 so he does appear productive behind the scenes. He may in fact be as impatient as we are to see QP open the archive to the wider world.
What I'm kind of saying is that no matter how many tracks we're getting this year on Queen Forever, at least it will be genuinely unheard music which is great for any of us here surely. Sure I'd love a full album of unreleased material but maybe if this release is successful, it may push them into doing other archival projects and maybe the anthologies are nearer to finally seeing release then they were previously.

Greg Brooks does his work very well, that's not the problem. I think is more complex....discography, manager, etc....Queen now is a company, like all classic bands, alive or not, such as The Doors, Aerosmith, etc...

I would definitely think it would be a Jacko track! America is too big to ignore! So one as the single and one you get when you get the album. And for the song "Victory" we might need to wait for the next Queen album release, coz Brian says there are only going to be two MJ tracks on Queen Forever!
PS That's still a really shit title!....lol!

William Orbit is just what "Queen" need. He isn't a yes man. His approach is different to what they've had in the past. This can only be good.
IMO, during the mid 80's the band were so big and successful that anyone who was sitting in the producers chair was probably having to agree or at least compromise with ideas that maybe were questionable.

Bingo. And this happened with plenty of others, too. Could you imagine being the producer while McCartney was in his lull in the 80s, having to smile and nod while he clunked out a yet another cheesy derivative ballad? Could you be that guy who said, "No Paul, it actually sucks" ? Or Bob Dylan ? If I want a cheque with my name on it, it's a great song Mr. Zimmerman. I love it.
Even the best songwriters have their creative peaks and troughs, and most of them try to find their way out of it with varying success.[/QUOTE]
Wasn't Eric Stewart, formerly of The Mindbenders and 10CC involved with producing McCartney in the 80"s? I doubt he would have been a "yes sir, no sir, three bags full producer" Might just be that McCartney (and Eric) were past their creative peak!

He said - a couple. Not "two". But if it'll be "ballad album" then "State of shock" doesn't fit in any way. So probably "Victory" is slow song as "More to life than this".

Well, Mack and missed David Richard produced them with suggestions and things in all the albums they produced for them.
Not forgetting is also involved Chris Thomas in the produccion.

A couple is two (a 'few' is three or more), although in colloquial speaking, he could have meant three.

"he could have meant three. "
That's what I'm talking about. Ofcourse it can be two but musn't be ;)
