Adam does sing well, I do not dispute that. And maybe he hits all the right notes and goes an octave higher. But to me that is not the point of a song.
Close your eyes and listen to both versions. When Adam sings, I think, nice song. When Freddie sings, I get chills down my spine! His voice has got incredible raw power, raw emotion. And as well as Adam sings, his voice just does not project that. The simplicity of the Wembley version - just a man with his mic. And yet, it is just incredible!
So again, not dissing Adam.. Just saying Freddie is the master! (I think even Adam has acknowledged that - not because he is modest, but because that is the truth.)

"In my opinion, Queen has the current best male singer in the world singing for them," Martel says of Lambert. "I went to see their show in New York, and the dude does not strain or miss a single note. He's an incredible virtuoso.

^ "[...] Queen has the CURRENT best male singer [...]" That don't means he is the best ever. He is the "best" in this moment. The best alive male 2014 singer.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

Hey inu-liger, this is out of topic, but I sent you a PM about a week ago. Just wondering if you've seen it?

I just dont understand the point of that comment.....

Most bands I know of have singers who are alive!
I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

Yes, every so often I look at him the way he looks now and try to picture that chubby, strawberry blonde high school graduate and he's like two completely different human beings! LOL

Lap of the Gods is SUCH a gorgeous song and NObody sings it better live than Adam, not even Freddie.

*cof*Rainbow*cof*Magic Tour*cof*

Rainbow has a better atmosphere like the Magic Tour versions, but Adam makes a different atmosphere which I don't like, and also improvise some notes that, to me, doesn't fit with the song's real atmosphere and the rest of the instruments.

Also, please, hear the leaked In The Lap Of The Gods (Live At The Rainbow November 1974). For the sake of God! Hear that guitar! That piano! That drums! That voice, which is the main theme here! You have no reason to say the 2014 version is best, in my opinion!

Anyway, my opinion isn't more valid than your opinion.

PS: There's no meaning, in my pretending?

Listen to the Rainbow version. Or the Hammersmith. Freddie Mercury - fabulous singer, song-writer, brilliant composer, pianist, and the ultimate frontman.
