I wasn't aware that the Rodgers thing didn't really do it in the US; I think the press spin over here was that the US shows were sell outs. Ironic really that they thought they could do those venues because Rodgers had some kudos with 'proper' US rock fans, but they forgot that the core of general gig-goers in the public wouldn't really know him. Switch that to Lambert and you get someone that will be known much more on a surface level across the board, thereby bringing in new fans to Queen's music.

They had a couple of "sell-outs" but in general it was a good night if the auditorium was 75% full.

The tour with Adam, on the other hand, has been a smashing success.

True, but I'd guess the 25% is more AL fans than Queen fans, so they should be "vindicated" that they picked a more popular current singer than an older peer who is way more respected. Which songs have Queen had on the charts since the PR tour? None? I see. I guess AL brought more fans of Queen's new post PR music into the fold :)
