The Queen Fanthology - Chapter Ten: Flash Gordon

Well, it's log past time I posted one of these chapters, so here it is!

The attached document is all the chapters published so far, now including Flash Gordon. So throw away all your old versions, this is the most up to date and contains any corrections made since last time.

I hope you all enjoy. As always ay corrections/additions are welcome, and I promise it won't be such a long wait until Hot Space!

There are a few good pieces on it.

Football Fight, The Kiss, Vultan's Theme, Battle Theme, Wedding March, The Hero..

All great stuff. And the piano/bass/drums demos heard on the 2011 remasters are pretty essential listening.

Football Fight is an iconical song of Flash Gordon.
The Kiss is beautiful, with those Freddie's lyrics.
The Hero is a great song, like Flash's Theme.

And like The Real Wizard said, the demos heard on the 2011 remasters all excellent and pretty essential listening.

Also I'm waiting the reupload of your demo collection, and since that I'm creating my own demo collection but I don't have all the files you have. I have new demos but not all the older demos like You And I, high quality Cool Cat demo, etc.

I finally bought it last year, the 2CD 2011 edition. Only took me about 16 years to get around to it :P

Same here. But I'm sure that the day I decide to buy it, there won't be any copies for me to buy, for whatever reason.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but what is "Magic Is Loose," referenced on page 187 in the Rumour Mill section?

It says:

The following tracks began life (or are rumoured to have begun life) around this time. It’s possible a version of these
tracks were recorded for these sessions:
• It’s A Beautiful Day: For full details please see the Made In Heaven chapter.
• Magic Is Loose

"Magic Is Loose" is a Roger Taylor song that ended up on his first solo album "Fun In Space." Would make sense if this might have been demoed during the Game / FG sessions, some of that album's songs sound like they originated from those sessions or were at least inspired by them.

I have to confess i don't have the actual album. I only have it as a piece in the ultimate queen collection box from 1995.

I could not agree any more..............my personal opinion, tho, Vultans Theme and Battle Theme is one of my favorite instances of 2 or 3 Queen songs that kinda segue into one another.............(not that theres a whole lot of instances of that anyway......lol).......when Battle Theme kicks in with that drum fill...........oh yeah...........

by the way, JamMonkey................that's utterly awesome................if that was a book on sale at a store, I'd pay like $25 for it...............

A number of the tracks "Contain themes from 'Flash Gordon' by Queen." Tracks 1, 4, 6, 7, and 18 are notated as such on the promo CD.
