And the Martel song is fab !!

That may be part of it but just as important is the fact that Lambert is better known than Martel and has a bigger fanbase, This ensures more publicity, shows are better attended etc. IMO Martel is a better singer than Lambert, and a much better fit for the musical side of things.

The snippets I've heard sound good, deffo a Queen feel to it, it may end up a better listen than ''Queen Forever'' !

I really liked this one too. He posted it after Robin Williams died. Marc's voice is awesome!

By the way, watching the last QE performances, I can tell that he's getting really better on the showman thing. Helsinki gig was awesome (that's what I can tell from the YT videos, since I wasn't there :/ )

What a awesome song! Oh if only Brian and Roger record some tracks with this guy...he maneged to sound more like Queen than anything the two have been doing since the last decade.

Well, Lambert is not a good frontman also and...
Queen died with Freddie and John left. The only oportunity, was with George Michael, but Roger not wanted...

George Michael would have been a disaster ! He could not have coped with the heavy side of Queen's catalogue .

I really don't get how blowing more money on one's wardrobe than the other guys in the band and bleating C-grade banter at everyone makes one a showman to the point where it would supersede any musical concerns.

It's firmly in the 'shoot, I guess we'll never know!' bucket now, but it would've made for better music if they'd had Martel along for the tour. Would it have sold? Probably not. I'll leave that line of thinking to people like Simon Cowell, it doesn't interest me.
