The only reason people lost their shit over George Michael's performance was because they expected him to come out and WHAM it up, and all he did was a respectful, solid performance of the song. I think we can all admit now that it's just 20 years of pleasant surprise talking, whenever someone floats the idea of Q+GM.

Damned, I just played this, and my wife walked in, and asked if it was a song off the new Queen album.........This guy's future looks promising.
I've always wondered how someone who was a very good tribute artist would do if they made NEW songs in the same style as the band they were emulating. I guess we will see.

Just to say, nobody will replace our Freddie, as he was truly one of a kind, but for the rest of us here on earth I don't think Marc can be beat especially if he puts out more new songs with a Queen/Freddie flare.
This new song also reminds me of the raw hard rocking sound of a young, 70's era Queen, not the pop sound they later explored.

If Adam Lambert can sing heavy songs, why not George Michael...
My dream would be in the 90's a tour with George Michael and Dio as guest singers.

And don't forget about 39', it was not a gospel song, and he did a brilliant performance.
Even Freddie liked his duet with Aretha Franklin and liked his solo stuff. That dates.

I had another listen to this song. It's awsome. Better than anything I have heard from Martel before. Is it still the Queen Extravaganza band playing backing for him?

I wonder why no one is saying that Marc sounds like a girl on the high notes of his new song "Paradise."

If you prefer Marc to Adam you should make sure you see him in the Queen Extravaganza show that is currently touring in the UK (if you live in the UK).

If you think Marc could match or do better than this performance, then, yes, maybe if there is another leg of the tour in the future, Brian and Roger should consider taking him along instead of Adam:

It was posted here that I read, Brian, and Roger do NOT want anyone who sounds or looks anywhere near close to Freddie.........but, there again Brian said there was nothing left in the vaults for making a new album so........

Marc Martel suits Queen's music just perfect. I have never experienced a vocalist that can give me the Queen feeling before Marc came along. Adam Lambert means nothing to me. It is sad to say it but for the first time ever I dont care about a Queen tour with Brian and Roger. The reason Lambert was chosen is that he sells tickets in America. Martel is not a teenage idol and would not have that effect. I dont care about ticket-sales really. I just want the best possible quality, and thats what we would have got with Martel.

Wow, Adam would be shocked to find out that he is a teenage idol in America and probably thrilled to hear it. If he were a teenage idol in America as you seem to think, his music would be played on the radio and he would be performing on award shows like the current teenage idols, Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus! Your British singer, Sam Smith, is the guy burning up the charts in America right now!
Maybe Marc's new single and new album will get him the fame he doesn't have right now?
I just looked for a youtube of Marc singing WWTLF and couldn't find one. At the QE show I went to in 2012, it was Jennifer Espinoza who sang that song along with "You're My Best Friend."

Marc's new song sounds great. Kinda makes you want to see it live.
