Oscar, what's wrong with Live Killers? I could recommend a bootleg to an Adam Lambert fan, but the chance is there that they might say.......say again? Although Killers has overdubs, Killers is a very recommendable album/

The band is awesome on Live Killers, but Freddie isn't too hot - he had fairly big vocal problems throughout that tour.

So my point cristal clear then Oscar. And I've seen them during that tour many times, and Freddie was smoking....but that's my humble opinion.

We get emails occasionally from QPL with official news; I'd like them to give it a formal name, so can I be the first to suggest 'Queen Internet Mail'....or 'QUIM' for short?

Then again, emails with that subject line may not get through some people's spam filters....

In Queen and Adam Lambert I very came up with this by taking letters I like

I took "A" from Adam
I took "N" from Queen
I took "A" from Lambert
I took "L" from Lambert

Think about it. It's 4 sellable letters and guys that are both heterosexual and homosexual always try to get. Or is this whole post just a pain in the ass.

Bands go on without original members all the time, you know......for consistency's sake, you should never listen to Van Halen with Sammy,
except for consistency sake YOU should listen to Van Hagar - much better band musically.
perhaps you meant "for continuity sake"
Hey, I like Van Hagar..........and the Dave stuff too..........

I merely was trying to say that anyone that says that Queen should cease to exist without Freddie should say the same about those other bands and their former singers...............

Well King of Rhye, the examples you give are for other bands, with fans and followers with their own opinion. I was merely making a point to the newbie, as if Adam would and could be the new member of Queen. My example must, please must be read with a pinch of salt. You hate it when people say, 'no Queen without Freddie and John', me as a follower since 1974 hate it when Adam fans claim that Adam is the best thing will ever happen to Queen en for that matter the Queen fans. I'd like to suggest that those Adam fans listen carefully to Live Killers, or the Rainbow and here how Queen sounds, how Freddie sounds. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand that Roger and Brian still want to make music, but the thing is with Adam as their leadsinger is not my cup of tea. Besides the bands you sum up have maintain some certain quality.
Okay, I guess I can understand your opinion, even if I dont really agree with what you think of Adam............personally I think he's a hell of a singer.......I wouldn't totally be opposed to it, but I don't think he'll ever be an actual official member of Queen.........apparently Brian + Roger = Queen nowadays, end of story..........

And oh yeah, like some others said......Live Killers? Really? lol......if I were going to tell a 'Glambert' where to hear some good live Freddie, I'd say Rock Montreal or Live At The Bowl before that one......

^live killers really changed my life. (Along with Alice Cooper's LOVE IT TO DEATH, Beatles ' REVOLVER, Black Sabbath 's Masters of Reality.)

Great stuff. But of course not THE most exemplary Freddie.

You all realize it is Deacon Paul, right?

Rhye King, no harm done, that's the beauty of a discussion ain't it. The fact remain, for me that is, I don't like the adam + combination. Maybe, perhaps maybe I should give it a try.

I suggest: ''Queen + current favourite singer of Freddie Mercury''

Is a catchy name. But seriously, the Troll Topic Starter (TTS) must be very happy right now.

well how about to appease the OP troll we need something catchy, current
and suitably relevant

Hi everyone! OMG all the responses are not dealing with this reality I feel that Adam is not on the same level as Queen.

Just some selected responses:

"just a tag along" - I don't think this is fair!!! He is a very talented performer and has a stage presence to rival a Lady Ga Ga for example i.e you cannot say he is a tag along, OMG LOOOL!!!
"freddy" - In my country you don't need to say someone's surname to refer to someone (hint, I referred to Adam Lambert as Adam above lol!!!)
"paul deacon" - this was a mistake I have now checked it up online and realised i was wrong.
"quimbert" - given the prominence of Adam I think Adam's reference needs to come first.

Anyway thanks for all the replies!!! I will try to listen to some more Queen music in the meanwhile I have just bought Greatest Hits II looking forward to hearing all their greatest songs.

It's "Freddie".

Better buy A Nigh At The Opera, A Day At The Races, News Of The World. You'll be better off with that than the Greatest Hits as you've probably heard most of them on the radio anyway.
