I'm going out on a limb here... but I think he means the first thing Queen releases in 2016.

Wouldn't Knebworth be either (second) or (next) then?

Is an unknown order... Is only my opinion, because i hope it comes true.
That time will come, one day you'll see, when we can all be friends... ("The Miracle", Queen, 1989)

My opinion is:

2015 - Hammersmith 1975 + Hammersmith 1979.

2016 - Hyde Park 1976 (first) and Knebworth 1986 (last).

2017 - Houston 1977. As i know by a friend, Earls Court could not be released easily because BBC have the rights.[/QUOTE]

This is news to me about The Beeb having rights to Earls Court.. It's not like they filmed the gigs. Both nights videos are just screen feeds as far as I'm aware.. I don't think any footage from Earls Court ever appeared on the BBC, except as part of documentaries.. Where did you hear this? Not having a go, just interested..

There are better VHS sources out there somewhere for the first night at Earls Court.. Although they might be a bit degraded by now.. I remember borrowing a vhs tape from an old mate (Who I later lost contact with) in about 1992 and it looked to me to be about a first gen copy. The colours were spot on and the picture was much sharper than the best dvd version including the Sniville 2 disk remaster. More natural.. I didn't have the means to copy it unfortunately.. He bought it at one of the conventions along with Hyde Park, which wasn't as good as the QTV version we all have now, but didn't have the QTV watermark obviously. So The tapes are probably out there buried away in peoples lofts etc.. I don't think we'll see an official release of Earls Court unfortunately as the edits are just what was done on the night and fed to the screens.. Not really up to par for an official release.. I think we might see at least some of Hyde Park eventually as they do seem to still have parts of it in usable quality..

i am surprised someone said we can not have "Earls Court" as "The BBC" own the copyrights.
If that is the case how come it has never been aired on TV?
To be honest i think Queen productions are pretty stingy as to what can and cannot get released, after all " The Beatles" fans get treated left right and centre with box sets and cds and un-released material and its been going on for years and years!
Freddie has been gone for 23 years and Queen fans have just got there first 70s Queen show on DVD, how slow and humiliating is that fo us Queenies, and to make matters worse its a concert which is 40 years old!
We are such a patient, loyal bunch are we not, and i am sure other fans of different artists would not be so patient as we lot are! Queen were a brilliant 4 some Rock group, but its a pity the people who decide what is getting released are slow and dithering as to what comes next?

Shows I'd like to have in full and in professional audio quality (of course whatever footage they have should also be included):
- Hammersmith 24-12-1975
- Hyde Park 18-09-1976 (if not possible, then that's a pity!)
- Earls Court 07-06-1977
- Hammersmith Odeo 26-12-1979
- Rio 12-01-1985
- Knebworth 09-08-1986

And if they can surprise us with some unknown audio only concerts, then that'd be even better!!They seem to have lots and lots of 1979 stuff and here's hoping for more unheard Crazy tour stuff from Brian's archive...
on my way up

Nah, Montreal > South America.

I think Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, The Game, Hot Space and A Kind of Magic are documented very well live with the best possible release of each tour, considering of what they recorded (Rainbow, Montreal, MK Bowl and Budapest).

What would be reaaaaaally nice is if along with the Bluray of Hammy 75 they included the audio of Boston 76, like they just did with the March show. Considering Hammy is a short gig, having a full gig from the ANATO tour will be a blast. Anydoby knows if they have the multitracks of Boston 76?

Why would they have Boston? From what I know, there's only a great sounding bootleg out there.

I think Hammy '75 might be released next year to commemorate its 40th anniversary. If no, then I don't understand the overall logic which begins with the release of Rainbow this year.

They could release each properly filmed concert from now on to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

It's probably their logic in releasing the Rainbow this year, but that doesn't mean there's gonna be a trend of it, considering they've only done it for one show.

Still, it'll be pretty fantastic if that is their plan
