Some of us just accept that Queen's best years are behind them and would prefer not to witness the gradual decline of the half of the group that's left being put on stage and taken on a world tour. I love stuff like the wonderful Rainbow release and can only be sad that this kind of touring gets in the way of more wonderful historical releases like that. I don't mind Roger and Brian wanting to keep performing at all, but I'd find it considerably more tasteful if they were to try something new rather than rehashing the hits with whatever pop-act is hot that year as their vocalist. They're fine musicians, why can't they just make some NEW music rather than living in the past?

well ill be going to Newcastle and London but all i can say is.... OUCH!!!!! the tickets are extortionate at best! 59.00 and a 7.10 shipping fee? it costs 7.10 to ship a small piece of card? Ticketmaster suck!!

It will be interesting to see if the release of Rainbow will inject any new possibilities for the set list when touring post Rainbow.[/QUOTE]

Just got my tickets for the O2, you can get thru Ticketmaster or Ticketzone. I tried Ticketmaster but you need a ticketmaster account password. Ticketzone went straight thru without any passwords.

I think at some point they see it as a choice to play to big venues full of people singing along, vs. playing small places where people are rudely shouting "hey, play '39!".
I've been saying it for years that Brian should knuckle down, pull a David Gilmour and give us a fucking balls out fantastic solo album. I don't think it's ever going to happen. The guy has some kind of self esteem issues. There are times I've really wished someone would grab him by the ears and tell him - Brian, you're fucking ace. Go and do the thing, you're amazing.
Instead I get to listen to some dork wearing glitter and going "yo fatass bitches get up and riiiiide!".
Honestly, fuck marketability.

Still awaiting confirmation email from Ticketzone for O2, two hours later. But got the booking ref. Sounds like they're busy... :-)

Hi Guys,
I didn't get my email with the presale details from Queen online.
Would one of you be kind enough to pm them to me please?
Thanks.

I liked seeing them at Hammersmith 2 years ago for obvious historical reasons but will have to give it a long think about these dates. I thought they were great last time (except Dragon Attack)
Also - I think opening in the US with Now I'm Here and SCC, as well as being thematically sound, was a decent tip of the hat to Rainbow '74.

@dysan Well I *loved* Dragon Attack last time... :-)
