If you are curious to know the truth, here it is,

The truth came down into this world in person and crucified itself at the beginning of time, so that in no time to come can any person be crucified ever again for being truthful.

The way came down into this world in person and crucified itself at the beginning of time, so that in no time to come can any person be crucified ever again for following the way.

The life came down into this world in person and crucified itself at the beginning of time, so that in no time to come can any person be crucified ever again for living the life.

Sadly, the only thing that has been defaced worse than the person of god is the word of god. But the good news only gets better. This is just the appetizer, for starters, and you cannot even begin to imagine the meal that the truth has spread out for you, should you choose to have it, it will come to sup with you.It only culminates with your exit out of this fools paradise, and your entry into the kingdom of heaven.

Of course, if you are looking for the truth elsewhere, the only unalterable and unchanging truth that you will discover the hard way is "Some things are worth stealing, and some things aren't worth giving away".

If you must know, even God himself had to fall back on, and take recourse to the truth, in the person of his son, to try and save this degenerate world of his. Like in any family, the future and the hope of both the mother and the father always rests in their son, and what a peach of a son god has ! In this case, at least, whether they like it or not, the son is way better than both the dad and mum.

I wonder who wouldn't want you to even know "about the truth",if not know "the truth".

If you need more convincing, just say this phrase "the one true god is ...", either in your mind, or utter it loudly and what is the name that instinctively and automatically pops up both in your heart and in your mind, who you know for sure is the one true god ? Blessed are you, Queen, for heaven and the world have not revealed this truth to you, but it was revealed to you by God the father who is in heaven, and it is upon this truth, which is the solidest rock that the son has founded his kingdom and the gates of hell cannot prevail upon it.

Sorry, just venting out some steam. Though god cannot take second place in any one's heart, and there cannot be another "rock" or another "star" or another "idol", in anyone's life, I'm sure I will be excused for being a fan of Queen, always.

Jesus, upon raising Lazarus from the dead, "If a person believes in me, even though he be dead, he shall live, and if person believes in me while he is alive, he shall never die". How many of those, "disciples", do you think, at least believed Jesus, if not actually "followed" him ? Was Jesus, just kidding, when he said that, and did the truth, not mean what it said, or did it say it, just so you might believe it, to follow it and to live it, "Mr Great King Rat" ?

Oh great, a Jesus-freak. Just what our rich blend of mixed nuts was missing...

And for the record: this historian says Jesus is a fictional compound-character, mostly based on John the Baptist and a handful of 1st century BC / early 1st century AD self-proclaimed Messiahs, and a good deal of modelling after the Mithras-cult.

Anyone who takes the Gospels literally doesn't know the first thing about the religious views of early Christians.

Here is the argument,

The truth will never crucify you.
The lie will always crucify you.
So if someone is crucified, that person must be a liar.
So Jesus, is a liar.
No my dear, read again and not in between the lines this time. The exception is the truth which chose to crucify itself, ahead of time for the truthful, so that in future no liar can attempt to crucify the truthful.

You might resort to lying, but a lie cannot support you or defend you.It cannot do anything for you. It does not even exist. You have concocted it.So you have to do everything you can to support it and to defend it by concocting a mountain of more and more lies. You are crushed by the weight of your own lies. You have crucified yourself by lying. It is more work than what it is worth and certain death.

Just for the record, there are no Jesus-freaks , only doubting "thomasquinn 32989"-freaks. Is it for you to say that god's word should not be taken literally ?

What a load of shite.

You are the one suggesting there is an invisible man in the sky, and are accepting old fables (sourced from previous fables) uncritically as fact - so you have the burden of proof, not someone else who doesn't hold a formal position.

Please leave us rational minded 21st century folk in peace. Thanks.

... not that I'm expecting rational thought to have any kind of legitimate effect on you at this point.

since this is what we were all thinking about.....

Col. Jessep: Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Kaffee: Did you order the Code Red?

Col. Jessep: I did the job I...

Kaffee: *Did you order the Code Red?*

Col. Jessep: *You're Goddamn right I did!*
