Here's a question - are the lyrics in the Anita Dobson version an improvement on those in the Queen version? It's fair to assume that Brian considers the lyrics to the Anita version final, whereas they were unfinished for the demo which was used for the Queen version.
I like the Freddie's version,it's a bit more rock oriented, about the lyrics, well English is not my native language, but is not that bad,it's a cheesy song,Queen have some cheesy songs and that's not bad, since they were what we can call "progressive",not stick to one kind of music.
I actually prefer the "Queen" lyrics to the "Anita Dobson" ones: They're not so positive and conclusive.

Anita's version was in Youtube earlier, but by the time Queen's version "leaked" it was removed.
It's a poor version, except for the second guitar solo!
Any chance of getting the song in better quality than on youtube? I had a better version, but my drive crashed...
Always loved this song, the Queen version much more so. One of my favorite Freddie vocals.

I agree
I dig the new version of this song. At the very least it's way better than Tear it Up and Is This the World We Created?. If it were up to me Heart and I Go Crazy would replace those two songs on The Works, although obviously it's not up to me.
These are the days of our lives They've flown in the swiftness of time.
To me Tear It Up is all done after the first burst of guitar. But maybe that's the way he wanted it. Remember Bijou being "inside out"?

I'd rather not compare Bijou to that turd.

Let me in your heart again and I Go Crazy/love kills replacing Tear It Up/Man On The Prowl= A much better Works Album.
