Yes indeed. I honestly believe that despite any of Al's shortcomings that he is a good singer with heaps of personality. He is not by any means an exceptional vocalist but he is a good one and although his style and delivery differs greatly from Freddie I do feel he is a better fit than Paul was. They do sound more like Queen than they did under Paul, Paul is a great vocalist, artist and performer with a fantastic 40+ years in the business but Adam does a better job fronting Queen on stage.

I think Adam has a great personality on and off the stage, he has a great clean image, never lets himself down in the the media etc. He had a fantastic rapport with the audiences this year. I think the Killer Queen bit was brilliant, real tongue in check stuff, although I do acknowledge it made some people here feel sick! His introductions between songs were very good and often humorous. The "gimme that love" impromptu was very good in my opinion too, he had the arena singing along with him and it was all very natural and unrehearsed. I think he has bags of personality and humility.

I often remember an interview Elton John did shortly after Freddie died, when asked about what the band should do now, he said something like "They should grab some kid, some nobody, somebody who is unknown, somebody who can do the songs justice because the music deserves to be heard". I fully agree with that sentiment and I wish they did that in 1992 as opposed to 2012. Adam is that guy though, it is such a shame for him and his credibility that he came into prominence through "Idol". People can not accept that type of lineage for somebody fronting Queen and that is fair I suppose but it does not diminish him in my opinion.

The songs are very important and i feel May & Taylor are past there creative days of making
classics the way they used too.

as if the weight of expectation and pressure from the dickhead demands of "fans" like you was ever going to be borne well by them. They never had a fucking chance....always bound to fail with everything they try.
With cretins like you absolutely refusing to accept any kind of change entering your stepford world, Bri & Roger's choice of continuing or stopping dead was always going to be damned if the do, damned if they don't.

You bang on endlessly about Freddie like he was some kind of God, Perhaps you should let them get on with things without YOUR constant sniping? As Freddie wrote in his most famous song:
"Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters."
why don't YOU follow Freddie's lead?

I saw one of the write ups to promote the latest tracks as Queen feat Freddie Mercury (Disrespectful in the least). Queen was Freddie, Brian, John and Roger. Freddie wasn't a guest singer he was and is part of the fabric, unlike these Stand Ins Paul Rodgers and Adam La La Lambert.
However on a positive note I think LMIYH is an amazing track, with Freddie's vocals stellartastic! Hope Universal Records can cajole Brian and Roger into finishing off some of the other tracks recorded with Freddie's vocals. Alas it's a pity so many demos have been leaked on the net.

you love to slate my sensible posts because you know i speak the truth for many Queen ardent Queen fans.
Freddie was god in Queen he got the band noticed and without him there would have been no Queen,
so put your foot back up your arse.
Oh and by the way i know your vocabulary is limited so do not use the word stepford again,
clever girl.

I won't defend Dappy but I WILL defend the nice piece of guitar Brian played. So I'm more phlegmatic about the vehicles that get Brian and Roger playing.

Have you actually thought this one through, Freddie joined BM and RT, who had already recorded in Smile, that band featured multi tracked guitars and vocal harmony arrangements, both of which would feature in the Queen sound, and in fact if you hear some of Freddie's demo from that period they sound awful. So far from being god, he was one of four people who worked together well, he was also lucky to step into a band situation which had already planned much of it's future sound.

Get over the fact that Freddie wasn't everything, he was part of the whole.

Another thing you should try to get over is that the two guys who gave Freddie a platform are still working together, and doing what they love, and why shouldn't they?
