Yeah, he hasn't actually said he wants privacy - in fact he wasn't ever really stalked by the press like the others were, probably because he was married and didn't get up to much, apart from that indiscretion 20 years ago in Stringfellows or wherever it was - he didn't say he wanted privacy, he just kind of disappeared!
I think it's easy to read between the lines. He was in an amazing and beloved, globally-recognized rock band and then intentionally hid himself away. I don't think it's takes a genius to figure out he wants his privacy. I think that he views Queen the same way one might view college or a first job. You look back fondly, but you don't want to relive it or try to go back. That's just my opinion.
Regardless, taking pictures on the street and of him in his car... I don't like that. I think people who work as a Paparazzo are morally disturbed.
But like I said... another part of me is relieved to see Deacon looking healthy and normal.
You are of course right about the Paparazzi, but it is a risk of being part of a globally recognised band, or a film star, or whatever.
Of course, John Deacon is more of a speciality celebrity these days, recognised by a few (well, a sizeable number) fans, and not even by many 'casual' Queen fans. In order to spot John Deacon out, you'd have to be deliberately looking for him (as a paparazzo I mean - which rhymes with cazzo, strangely enough.....), knowing who you were looking for and where to look. In fact you'd pretty much have to be stalking. I can't imagine a picture of John Deacon being worth all that much to someone like the Sun or a gossip magazine, even Smash Hits. He's more Classic Rock than Smash Hits, and Classic Rock don't tend to, as far as I know, buy Paparazzi shots.
His kids probably all have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, so it really can't be that difficult to tweet one of them 'hey, how's your dad, we love Queen, thanks for the music' or something, and possibly get a nice response (or no response, fine too).
No, in order to get these pictures, it must have been someone with an agenda trying to get a story of some sorts. Or at least, construct a story of some sorts.

And Justice For All is a different case.....they had a perfectly fine bass player, you just couldn't ever hear him! lol[/QUOTE]
Yeah a perfect example of what the future would always be for jason Newstead being in the shadows of the irreplaceable cliff burton and being in a band who will never truly accept you in it with them tuning down the bass.. justice for all is a very strange album for me.. could have been epic had it been cliff burton.
