The truth is Queen + Adam Lambert is here to stay... And it seems that they will be together until Brian and Roger quit performing live.
Still, I dont get why do people complain?
We still have new releases with Freddie: We had Let me in, Rainbow, according to GB we will have another release very much like Rainbow and taking a look at the Rainbow sales, it seems that they will keep releasing stuff with Freddie so its not as if they stopped releasing Queen material because of Q+AL.

Everyone has an opinion, so the lovers of Lambert with Roger &Brian must respect other opinions.

We let supper get cold here while we watched. We thought it was a treat over here to get to see Queen + Adam live and a high quality broadcast. Looked to us like everyone there was having a great time, but then the same old haters crawl out after it's over. Feel sorry for you, hanging on so tight to the past. You sound like a bunch of old gripers sitting outside the pool hall on the dead-peckers bench brandishing your canes at the youngsters.
Happy new year, ridiculously ill informed post.

Hi Winterspelt, happy new year. As a long time follower of this forum, i know you contribute regularly. To answer your question as honestly as possible, if you never saw Queen, you have no point of comparison. If people compared what they saw tonight to a Queen show in the 70s they'd be mortified and think the band were a joke. That's why :)

Adam does so well his job on this concert. I'm sure Freddie would be proud of such the band he made with his friends, and how this turned now. He would be satisfied. That's the best Queen can find this days.
People who says: 'Adam is bullshit! Send it to the morgue!', listen to this concert. It changed my mind.

Great concert...too many complaints really. We should thank everyday for having Queen + AL....Think about all the crap that could be playing a concert like this NYE (Rihanna, Bieber, etc). Thanks to AL we still have Brian and Roger smiling, happy on the road and playing like motherf*****s.

I watched live. I have no problems with Lambert tbh but that sounded tired and once again under rehearsed.

I got why they started out with Don't Stop Me Now (good time party tune on New years eve)... but it still seemed a bit of a lame starter. Then they followed it up with I Want To Break Free, which I thought was a poor second choice too.
About what Dysan said above.... I wouldn't say it was under rehearsed, their timing was impeccable, and I didn't hear any mistakes. But something seemed a bit lacking by Queen+AL standards.
Having said all that, I'm not really that keen on Queen+AL (I thought it was okay when I saw Lambert with RT & BM live in 2012, but I've seen/heard too much since) ... nor was I with Queen+Paul Rodgers either.

Completely agree. The thing for me which was the problem was the mix, it seemed to be very safe probably for live tv. For example, the guitar in FBG was almost inaudible making it seem a bit lame

When seeing queen with adam i always think: they could do better. The guy can sing. But he just doesnt pull off wwry. A set change would do them good.

Queen and safe.... actually, thinking about it, that might be another reason why the collaborations since Freddie don't do it for me: because it's all so damn predictable and safe.
(Although I totally get that they're trying to keep the music alive for younger generations.)
