Well, some of those performances really are genuinely bad. While I'm not a fan of Adam, I feel that the real bottleneck is Taylor, because his drumming is increasingly falling apart. Bo Rhap for example is so slow and sloppy it mates me cringe. I also find it ironic how 'Don't stop me now' really sounds like it's about to stop in places. Maybe he should let his son take over completely.

TRW mentions aging musicians. Everyone gets old and people can't do the things they did when they were younger. Agree wholeheartedly. So for me, a slower, less energetic band pales in comparison to the Queen I saw in the 70s. They aren't as hungry, they're trotting out the same old, same old for the umpteenth time, and they don't have the energy they did as young men, nor the dynamic the original singer and bassist provided. For me, those are things that diminish my enjoyment of the presentation.
Wizard also posted, "On Zeppelin forums, when someone posts a recording of Robert Plant from last week doing his new and bizarre arrangement of Black Dog, you won't find a single person saying "that sucked, I miss 1971." They're respectful enough to know better. But that mentality seems to skip past Queen fans who think they're a lot smarter than they actually are." Then, "Plant has been rearranging Zeppelin songs for the last 15 years with his solo bands, opting not to play them as they were. He's always moving forward. He refuses to be a prisoner of his past and is creating such interesting music, often blending Americana with African and middle eastern influences. His last few records are excellent." So, a musician who has moved on, tries new things is to be lauded, and the fan base is good with that. If Queen tried that, then maybe the old fans would be happier. Probably not though :) But Queen IS trying to act like it's 1977 or 1984. It isn't. Same arrangements, less energy, seen it all before. And performed better. That diminishes my enjoyment of the presentation.

Very well put!
Mr. Wizzard.
An opinion with respect, not an opinion against the human rights (I think in this case, your examples are out of place! without sensen of what I mind and you knew it and used it like a sophist).
Other thing, is Robert Plant can make an strange arregenmant under his name, not Led Zeppelin. And this is a bad example of rock star to name for your cause. Robert Plant always wanted only ocassionals Led Zep concerts (4, and one private), because without Bonhman is not possible a real led zeppelin long life career, against Jimmy Page who wanted last years to reactive Led Zeppelin with singers like Steven Tyler (he went to the rehersals without knowing the lyrics), Lenny Kravitz and Chris Cornell....at least, this three names make good records, not like Adam Lambert.
You must respect there are people who doesn't like Brian and Roger do this with an AMERICAN IDOL manufactured star under the name of QUEEN, as we can respect you enjoy it. And this kind of respect is very, very different from the respect you said before, like a demagogue.
Also, I can put you an interview of Roger, in 1981, saying without any original member, there will be no Queen. Selective memory....
I don't have problems, as I told you many times, they collaborated with they wanted, but not under the name of Queen. They not used in the Freddie Mercury Tribute at first, but later....but you only want to read what you want. To be a fan of Zappa, you are very close to Tipper Gore 80's way of thinking.
And get the last words for you, it's so you.... To me, Nevermind the b.
