Hammersmith 75 isn't my favourite. Far too similar to Rainbow and with less tracks. What a pointless release.??

Brian confirmed Hammersmith 1975 and a solo box set in the recent official podcast.
When did Brian say that which part at what point?

In part 2 he says that his entire catalog has been remastered. In part 3 is when he talks about the box and Hammersmith.

Can you post here the complete podcast? Or maybe a link? Thanks ;)

What about Hammy 75 in BR and a box set of ANATO shows in CD?

Brian said in his soapbox in 2009 that the concert was not filmed in cine tapes, so he said that would not be possible (now I don´t know if they can do it as Rainbow). Also said that a version in cine tapes exists as a transfer, but it was taken wrong and is so speeded, as i remember.

The latest episode, he mentions that "the boys are working on it".
And just because Hammersmith '75 was shot on tape, it doesn't mean it can't be put on Blu-Ray.

All I can remember about Hammersmith '75 was GB was on here a while back appealing for audience footage etc to fill in the encore gap. He also did that about Rainbow '74 asking us info regarding it's cinematic release. Putting 2 and 2 together I'd say Hammersmith '75 will be the next release. They would even do well to include the unfilmed encore as the soundtrack to a gallery or something if it came to that. I've no doubt it wouldn't be a Rainbow style box due to the length of the gig (Rainbow box = 2 gigs).

Or how about a box of Queen in Japan with nice spoof Japanese style packaging? Thematically sound and the material is there.

Oh, that you say for the request about material of the last three songs is true, indeed. Only god knows if this request comes true soon. Yes, it could be an amazing release, besides of the concert duration (is shorter than Rainbow ones). I hope they´ll launch this year.

Also Japan content would be stunning, but i don´t think could be a good release for Europe, Asia and Americas, only for Japan, as the 1985 "Live in Japan" gig, available in DVD only in that country.

BTW, dreaming is free...

What we don't know is if they have another shows from the ANATO tour in the archives, aside Hammy and Hyde Park.

Not recorded in video, of course, but multitracked for the CDs. The idea of japanese gigs is superb. Imagine if they just multitracked the shows at Budokan, for example :). Most unlikely, but one can dream.

Would be nice to finally hear some unheard before studio stuff/outtakes, not only live releases. Knowing how much there's still hiding in the vaults....
I agree - this is what I want the most.
I agree also, especially for the Innuendo stuff. Lots of unseen footage and interviews (none with Freddie of course).
"He knew exactly what was going on. He knew that was his last performance, he could barely stand." Roger Taylor commenting on Freddie's last video appearance.

Just listened to the podcast. Brian does indeed mention the box set of his solo material being worked on for release. He also mentions live concert release from 1975 'which the boys are working on now'. He didn't actually mention Hammersmith tho. So we may get A night at the Opera tour live release which really would be epic!

My dollar would be on Hammersmith anyways. Why? Well, if it's going to be anything like Rainbow it'll be the 40 year anniversary for one, which would be one hell of a boat to let sail away, especially after the recent live activity and whatnot.
And I can't think of another show from 1975 that would merit such a par release.

But only time will tell. At least in no more than a few months from now at the least anyways :)
