^ It looks shite :-D[/QUOTE]
Did you ever come across a BETTER logo-free / timecounter-free version of this 60+ min Paris video?
Barry Durex · Member since
^ The only way to lose the time code counter is to crop the video and the result is always shite. Another source for a merge would be a clean copy of the US "Champions" documentary from 1979. Has anyone thought to make separate videos of each night using the best footage?

You didn't answer my question.
You said that the screenshot of my 'clean' copy of Paris show (without counter, without logo, not cropped) looks shite. So my questions is: did you see a better 'clean' 60+ version?

To answer your question, all the cropped versions I have seen are equally shite. I also think that the image you shared HAS been cropped (842 × 596 does not equate to a 4:3 aspect ratio) There are much better alternatives to play with, including your share here if you want to mess about with cropping.

OK I downloaded it and I think it looks much MUCH MUCH worse than the version with the QTV logo

Oh lordy, at least you now have 11 versions.

OK, I'm trying to summarize which is the best (video-wise) version of 60+min Paris show? QTV version mentioned by pittrek? Can it be shared, please?
aristide1 · Member since
Thank you antiden. Sharing a videotape from your collection is a great thing by itself, whatever the quality.
As you probably understand by now, the video is not the best. However, the audio may become the best, after some corrections.
Can you upload a lossless audio?
The Real Wizard spotted the potential of it, but the result of his work depends on the quality of the source. AC3/384 is not horribly lossy, but still it is lossy.

The torrent for this is here:
http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1075356/queen-music-download-announce-paris-france-paris-3-01-79-qtv-dvd-low-gen-queenzone-tracker.aspx
I compared the QTV with this one and the differences I can tell is that antiden's version has more colour . Qtv version looks cleaner but maybe because there's some processing in it.
Maybe if we can get antiden's version be enhanced by ChiefMouse, then we could compare both properly.
At least this version stays in my hard drive too, so thanks for it !

I compared both versions and I do NOT agree with your statement at all. Both versions are great, each in its own right.
And if Chief Mouse processes my video, it would look WAY better, than QTV version...
