I think we all seem to have different opinions on this.

I think Queen were at their creative peak around 79, so this is a poignant, great concert/film. With the muzzy (tache) came second-rate songwriting I'm afraid (with a small number of exceptions like "Hammer...".....

Thanks for sharing antiden, but the video quality of your offering is "average", no way at all "excellent", I'm afraid. I've got a much better version somewhere in my house, maybe the qtv version. Maybe your audio quality is better than other versions, so all is not lost.....

So we all agree that this has better audio and colour, it is a new source and the other version looks better but probably because of processing.

Would like to see what CheifMouse thinks of the potential on restoring this one. Still a valid upload as it is a new source with an audio upgrade, thank very much for the upload.

I'll grab it this weekend. I don't have too much spare time right now.

Thanks for the share!

Any chance you can transfer it to digital and share your copy here?

If it was in a trade then the trader you got it from has a better copy.

I suppose so. But it never surfaced anywhere and maybe never will.
P.S. The 'Merci' bit, that you have downloaded, is from 27/02. That's why it's not presented in my version.[/QUOTE]

Just curious - why did you remove it from your version?

I didn't remove it. That is how it was recorded on my VHS tape.

My copy is almost certainly one I downloaded from this excellent site/forum. It will take me days to search for it in my huge, unsorted collection (all artists) but I will try to find the time over the next week or so.... I didn't record it myself or get it in a trade....

I checked this, in my opinion the QTV version has overall better picture quality. But this would be a good version to use to mask out the QTV logo (if it can be synced).

Still working on the audio here.

Nitroboy, Chief Mouse, Pittrek, whoever - any interest in creating best possible versions of each of the Paris shows?

If so, then do you have a good copy of The Champions documentary (aired on 12-21-79 on US TV) to work with?

This can be a guide:

The same goes for the Tokyo 4-25-79 show.

In a few days I'll post a link of my Champions 1979 version, but don't expect I'll do this work, 'cause I don't know how to do it! :-)

Have you seen the one I did a few years ago?
