If Queen Productions decided to do something with the complete video of 1979/04/25, do you think if they used all the vocal multitracks at their disposal from the European leg of the Jazz tour, that a product capable of being officially released could be made? Sure it wouldn't be accurate to how he sounded that night, but sitting on all that footage plus taking into account that all the other band members were playing their guts out (especially Brian) seems like a great waste to me.
Thoughts?

Is an interesting question. Can it be done? What if Freddie says Hey! or Hello! or something while he doesn't have the microphone near?
I don't know if is technically possible or if the band members would want something like that.

I think it's not necessary to replace all the vocals from 25/04 gig as only off key notes possibly need to be replaced or repaired. Also there's no need to replace original Hi's or Hello's as I don't think FM struggled with them during this concert and they're not so important anyway.
As Queen have video for 3 Paris 1979 shows in the vaults, they are preferable candidates for possible release. Tokyo show with all needed work might be possible for release years and years after the release of Paris shows....

Maybe Paris as the main dish and excerpts of this show as a bonus feature? I'd really like to see the full show though, or at least DSMN and BoRhap in better quality cuz I don't think Brian ever nailed those songs as hard as he did that night.

I've always thought of the possible 79 Tour DVD as something like Devotional, from Depeche Mode. It was shoot in different cities and all was mixed and edited to have the live feel of one concert.

I'd love a DVD like that, I just hope it would be edited a bit better than Rare Live

I hope they will never do that! They shouldn't fool people like that! I'm against another Live Killers!

Agree. What would the limit be for something that is a genuine live show with a few bits added (e.g. Wembley '86), and a made up show with not enough elements of any single show to be able to even give the album a name (e.g. this idea). It would be less than the sum of its parts.

A live show from the Jazz tour period really should be released. Either as a stand alone DVD or a 2nd bonus show. Live Killers should also be remastered with the fully restored missing songs.

Am I crazy for enjoying Japan '79? Freddie's voice doesn't bother me too much, and everyone else is playing their asses off, yet almost everyone avoids these shows like the plague. I really dig the energy and vibe these shows have, and I truly hope a tape of the complete, pre-broadcast copy of the video for 04/25 shows up someday, or maybe a soundboard (god-willing) of either 04/20 or 05/06 surfaces at some point.

When I watch & hear Japan '79, I can't help but just think about switching to Crazy tour Hammy the sooner the better :P

I dunno, maybe listening to all of Led Zeppelin's shows in 1975 has desensitized me to mediocre singing.

Haha, exactly. Freddie's singing is so painful on that one. However, thumbs up for the epic combination of the gay leather cap and the red sparkly outfit he wears on WWRY and WATC.

Ha ! Ding.
Plant is mostly intolerable in 75. When I listen to most of those soundboard tapes, all I hear is drugs.

He's only really bad during most of the January and early February shows though.
