Definitely, Paris '79 would be a better choice. Maybe with a couple of bonus from Tokyo :)

Well paris was only shot with 1 camera so that won;t happen as a sandalone release. As for Kampuchea they still are searching for the multi track audio...sp that won't happen...

Ha ! Ding.

Plant is mostly intolerable in 75. When I listen to most of those soundboard tapes, all I hear is drugs.

Would rather hear Plant's worst versions - or that amazing version with the drunken couple? :D

So... 1979 recorded shows:

Tokyo: Unreleaseable for voice problems and i don't blame them)

Munich: Unreleaseable for being destroyed.

Hammersmith: Unreleaseable for lost multitracks.

Paris: Unreleaseable for lack of angles.

...what about the other nights in Paris?

The Real Wizard has claimed that the Hammersmith multitracks already have been found. Would love a release of that.

So if there's all these Jazz shows on film that have little things that make them unreleasable on their own, they should just release them all together. Make a DVD boxset of them for the fans, and since they'd be together you'd be getting so much content that you wouldn't feel disappointed. It's criminal that there's no complete pro-video of any Jazz shows. Sure it'd take a long time to make but as long as the maximum amount of effort and care is taken with these then it'll be great no matter what.

Maybe some day the elements missing will be found. If there's no chance I believe a box will be released. Or maybe something like this: The cd release of Paris show with bonus dvd with existing footage.

Hell I will take a sound-only release. As long as it's not LIVE KILLERS EXTENDED though. My dream Jazz release would be a 6 CD release featuring the uncut 1978/12/20, 1979/03/01, and 1979/05/06 (with necessary vocal fixes of course.)

To me is a mix of the 3 Paris show on audio. And a audio/video release of Hammy 79 if possible. That's enough for the year 79.

I just wish QP would start doing low-key live releases like The Doors' Bright Midnite Archives.

Who told you the 1978/12/20 and the 1979/05/06 shows were professionally recorded?

I dunno, maybe listening to all of Led Zeppelin's shows in 1975 has desensitized me to mediocre singing.[/QUOTE]

Could you imagine how good Led Zeppelin could have been if they actually had a fucking singer?!
