Well the freak shows are finally over here in the uk and like others on this site are relieved.
The poll on here asking "do you think Adam Lambert is awful" is gathering more and more votes which only goes to show people are finally seeing common sense after the fog of the hype around Adam Lambert.
I honestly do not understand what this silly tour achieved apart from the obvious of money making.
Queen's music speaks for itself and so a tour like this one with a rubbish singer was not called for.
Queen have fucked up big time letting Lambert take over, and lets face it they have not set the world on fire have they? Sure they have won some awards but that is nothing to what Freddie achieved with this group.
Did you all see on ITV "The Nations Favourite Seventies Single"? Well Freddie won it with "Bohemian Rhapsody"
proving he was a very important component in Queen.
Freddie is easily the most greatest song writer in Queen as he fused extravagance with opera and rock.
Adam Lambert is just a crumb on the horizon of music compared to the massive legend that was Freddie Mercury.

Oh I missed out there, I didn't know Freddie had recorded a solo version of Bo Rhap!

What a pile of twaddley shit!

Bye the way that tour sold more tickets than both Hot Space and The Works, and there's more to come so get used to it Gerry.

Hey you sound so ungrateful and not appreciative of Freddies work.
Call yourself a Queen fan mate, that is a joke.
Bohemian Rhapsody is the jewel in the Queen catalogue and there greatest piece of work ever.
I am not bothered about ticket sales because people will buy a ticket to see a piece of dog shit if they could so do not play the ticket
card with me because that just does not mean anything these days.
Sam Bailey won the x-factor but now she has been dropped from her record label, so winning something these days is no big deal,
back in the 70s when Queen were selling concert tickets it was a whole lot different to today.
An artist had to be really amazing to grab an audiences attention and Queen had a huge insurgence of interest after Bohemian Rhapsody.
Too much hype around these days and Queen & Adam Lambert did not live up to all the hype.
42% on the poll suggests he is awful while 54% like him, but the fans who dislike him is growing!
A real Queen fan to which you are not should support our Freddie.

"sold more tickets than the hot space and works tours" - all I know is , you had to be quick off the mark in those days or you lost out, like I did for the works tour, bloody gold dust they were, the A L tour , well anybody could get them, no quick sell outs like the old days. There's no comparison.

Remember you all..in that time you have to go in a music shop or some other places to.buy tickets..now you have internet and online one click buy. So its just another time to comoare to golden age where prime Queen did all that big sales records. They were breaking records at the time. I dont think they break some records with Adam Lambert. Remember the magic tour tickets sales record. It was never seen before. Today you have one Lady Gaga who can selk more tickets than U2,Pink Floyd, Queen together. Just saying it was another time my friends.

It was another time, and when Freddie walked the earth he was a groundbreaking artist. Adam Lambert isn't a groundbreaking artist simply because there's hardly any ground left to break. Adam Lambert is where he is by standing on the shoulders of giants - giants like Freddie Mercury, and Adam Lambert would be - and is - the first to admit that.

I don't know why there's all this hatred towards him really, because he is a great singer, he has an excellent voice and he's a polished performer. Freddie's mum and sister went to the concert in Nottingham, Peter Freestone went to one of the gigs, and by all accounts they all loved it.

I used to think I understood the haters, but now I just think it's all being taken too seriously.

Re: may '78 Wembley empire pool, (now Wembley arena), living 275 miles from London and postal applications not being accepted until a week after the venue box office sales, no choice but to hitch hike down to be sure of a ticket, yes, a 275 mile hike ,through the night just to get tickets! - and then do it all again for the concert .
. It's certainly a different world now.

You really are a massive cunt aren't you. You talk so much bollocks. That Tour was brilliant. Adam had always maintained that he is not an imitator. He is simply working with the band to bring these songs to us with a new perspective. He never will replace Freddie. No one will.

SteveLondon70: No i am not a cunt but the truth here is Lambert has no depth he is just a hollow performer feeding on the success from a dead rock legend.
Where is Lambert's massive back catalogue of hits to perform then?
He fucking well hasn't got any has he, because he is a shit, making money out of a dead rock legend and singing Queens greatest hits, which is pretty cheap going.
Queens music can speak for itself without taking this jumped up nobody on tour with them.
Queen must be so desperate for a lead singer and you would think at there age they would have more sense.
Call me all you want folks but many have my point of view, and remember the poll on here suggests Lambert is getting disliked more and more!

Well it made a shit load of people who went to the shows (and not just one show in many cases), VERY FUCKING HAPPY indeed to see and hear Roger & Brian playing live together again.

THAT'S what it achieved!

Did you go to one?

Gerry, you are not worthy of the title Queen fan, you fail every time to critique the current set-up with resorting to a slanging match or pathetic comments about Adam's ability, Clearly you have no musical understanding or skill yourself, if you had you would understand as musicians people tend appreciate talent and applaud it, they may not like the style of music or the way it's performed but they celebrate the talent it takes to play on a world stage. Only the talentless slag off the talented usually out of jealous dispair.
You inhabit the same puril world of the football hooligan who is hampered by his mental inability to think beyond the beer can.

Freddie said Talent will out... well it has I'm afraid, Queen have performed one of their most successful tours and left people wanting more, so like it or not your rantings are pointless.
You have no ability to rationally put your point across without resorting to slating someone who clearly has more talent than you will ever see in your life, ok you dont like him... we get that and it's fine you dont have to, but your points such as 'Queen have fucked up' display you for who your really are... an Airhead
