I like the drum sound on The Game, though I agree it doesn't really cut through the mix well when doing rockier, loud songs.

I agree that the drums on 'The Game' sound good (although I'd prefer more kick and toms!), but by the 'Flash Gordon' album something happened in the way they were recorded which really saw a downturn in Roger's usually phenomenal sound. He didn't really get it back in the studio until 'The Miracle'.

Any thoughts on when we might see the press release for this, mentioned by GT in his initial 'hit and run' post?

It seems that all studio albums will (also) be released individually. All albums are priced at £20.99. Innuendo and Made in Heaven are £25.99. Are those double albums?
If they want to do these re-releases 'properly' they should release them in exactly the same format as the vinyl releases first time around...but then again if these carry the digital audio master which was done specifically for CD (which I suspect they will), then that's out of the window anyway.
So individually the cost will be £325 or thereabouts (depending on store) - do we reeckon the complete set will cost a bit less?

Huh-huh! "The Cosmos Rocks" is rightfully a Queen studio l.p. It is their sixteenth one! Outside of that calling it "1973-1995" is fine if that's the route they wish and or choose to take. [/QUOTE]
My own theory is that they set up Queen+ as a legally separate entity from Queen. I have no inside knowledge but from a business point of view it's what I would have done. Giving Brian and Roger a larger share of any income than they would get from the earlier Queen releases.

If Innuendo will be double album:
A-Innuendo, I'm Going Slightly Mad, Headlong
B-I Can't Live With You, Don't Try So Hard, Ride The Wild Wind
C-All God's People, These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Delilah
D-The Hitman, Bijou, The Show Must Go On
Made In Heaven:
A-It's A Beautiful Day, Made In Heaven, Let Me Live, Mother Love
B-My Life Has Been Saved, I Was Born To Love You, Heaven For Everyone
C-Too Much Love Will Kill You, You Don't Fool Me, A Winter's Tale
D-It's A Beautiful Day (Reprise)

I'm more than happy with my original box set The Complete Works (1985), so...I don't have the money. If I was Iron Man, I will buy all the rare records from Queen (not the stupid parafernalia they are doing with Innuendo artwork, with all the respect for the people who like it), but...

Good point! All the live albums were due in the universal remasters as far as I recall.
I'm still waiting for the rest of the 'Top 100 Bootlegs' series and the "forthcoming BBC Sessions" album trailed in 1995!!!

What about the 'six live videos' which would be released very soon in, I think, 1997?
