I am a professional musician who has worked with hundreds (if not thousands) of singers, and aside from drunk karaoke yodelers, you are literally one of the worst I've ever heard - however, that's based on the output you have provided.

Hmm. It's a mediocre performance with little dynamic control (loud and powerful delivery of every single line), pretty poor transition between falsetto and chest voice, and rather abrasive, thin tone.
But he's on key for nearly all of the notes, with a few noticeable exceptions (some of the falsetto notes are off, and he's rather flat on 'as if nothing really matters'). His vibrato's solid, too, if a bit excessive.
Basically, I'm surprised you rank it so badly - it's just mediocre in my opinion, with some glaring weaknesses - should he work towards fixing those weaknesses in his technique, he'd probably be able to produce a pretty decent cover of Bo Rhap.
Still, I understand Tranqvilla has some history here which I've not witnessed - perhaps his past output being worse is why he's so readily dismissed.

Actually i think Lamberts borhap sounds worse. My opinion and i have all the right to think that and i think his tone is weak, my right again to think that. [/QUOTE]
Sure, it's your right to think that, but it'd be much more productive to exercise your right to listen to your own voice critically and see how you can improve.
I mean, at least be objective - Lambert's note accuracy on Bo Rhap is perfect. I'd say he's a bit ahead of you in terms of good volume control, though he still oversings the first section of the song quite a bit (I'm judging this based on the NYE performance).

Tom : thanks, your critics are much more real and i agree, im not saying im where i wanna be but im working my way there.. And you're right about the loud and powerful lines, that is something ill think about and not go so hard all the time. But i can respect your critics cause it's not just hating.

Of course.
It's also your right to go up to a veteran on veteran's day, give him a quarter, and take all the poppies. It doesn't mean you should.
If you think you're a better singer than Adam Lambert, then you do not have a ghost of a chance not only in the music business, but on forums like this that a few dozen people read.
Good riddance.

No lambert is much better at handling his voice but still think he sucks

I'm off, seriously. I won't keep talking about him. He's as hard as a rock.
Bye.

Tranqvillia is so passionate about his music. Let the man enjoy his dream. Life would be so bland if we had no dreams and no passion. And it is not always about about attaining the goal. The journey can be a lot of fun in itself.

but the opinions of those who actually hate your voice are no less valid.
i really don't like Lambert much at all - but in a two-horse race he's crossing the finishing line and you're not even out of the gates.
enjoy your dreams...just stop taking yourself so seriously - because no one else in the world does.
if you're singing for a hobby/fun then by all means have fun. but stop with the "i'm great" "i'm pitch perfect" bollocks...because you are a very average singer and nothing more

We'll see who's the average singer in the end. Im gonna show all of you how average i am,in the end. Say what you want, i think my rendering of bo rhap is better than average. Much better than average.

And by the way, a singer is a person who can hit notes, that is a singer then, everything after is just a matter of taste. And i pretty much hit all the notes so

I believe a singer is more than that. Just because you have a driving licence it doesn't make you an F1 star. You have too high self-esteem. And all opinions are valid, don't take it to heart. Just improve yourself, come back after a few years with another cover and maybe some people will change their thoughts.

True, it's not just about hitting notes. There are many singers who have technically better voices than Freddie, but Freddie's delivery, and the passion he put into it, are what, coupled with his range, make him such an amazing singer. As Montserrat's popular quote about him goes, "He was selling the voice".
Mercuryking · Member since
Off course there is a lot of technique involved but i meant that singing is basically hitting notes with your voice then everything else is practice and taste. Some might think ozzy Osborne is a super great singer while i don't etc. It's about taste.

I wouldn't wholly agree with this actually.
I think tone, vibrato and dynamics are just as important.
Take for example Mariah Carey and KT Tunstall.
Mariah has an enormous vocal range, but her overuse of pentatonics become irritating. KT also has an impressive range, but she has a fantastic tone, which makes for a much better listen.
Think about it, autotune can make a vocal technically perfect, but it sacrifices tone to do this. Can anyone here genuinely say they love the sound of autotune?
