Brian leaving Queen?

I think you all need to read what BM said again. And then try to understand what he is actually saying.

They can't go on forever. Adam has his own career. The end of the tour is the end of the tour. Not the end of them working together again.

They all have interests outside Queen so, for now, there is no time to add more dates.

BM and RT are reaching the end of a long, long profecional life in music. They don't have to do this, but "Queen" is something they enjoy doing, if not all the time. . . . .

Where does BM say he is not going to play in this lineup again?

What's not entirely clear is whether Adam Lambert really HAS much of a career ahead of him; It's entirely possible he thinks working with Roger and Brian is his best option, and possibly at least as much fun as a solo career.

This isn't to deny his talent; Simply to acknowledge his breakthrough hasn't been huge enough for a solo career to be a hands-down winner.

Maybe Brian (ha!) also meant that Queen's not the only thing he'll be doing, he'll be doing other projects, like stuff with Kerry. I even read on Brian's site where he said he recently worked on a few songs with her in the studio, and he said something about 'some of the greatest songwriters in the world', whoever that would be....

I hope that he DOES leave Queen! For a new guitarist to come around live and then do new studio recordings (and long plays!) THEN he (Brian) can come back both live and for studio recordings (and l.p.s). That would be way cool. Allow a transition thing to happen.

I think they are ready to retire and only do occasional live performances and shows.
They can't go on forever and this could be their last Tour.
I don't think they will restart solo careers and do more solo albums and tours either.

Rerelease old stuff and do Some promo work for that. That kind of work.

It's time for a new studio l.p. by Queen + Adam Lambert!

Brian hinted there will be no more Queen studio albums but he and Roger might work with Lambert on his next album.

How did you get from that comment he was leaving Queen? read it again slowly, he says they can't go on forever... really I thought they were immortal... and that he will do other things outside of Queen
Adams career will largely depend on who he gets to write songs for him? if he has good songs he has the talent to have a long career on his own. they hinted a while ago that they might add to his career, if say Brian and Roger write the odd song for Adam I can see that being a good way to keep the partnershiop going.

Whatever happens Queen will not stop working together without a final London performance to say goodbye that you can guarantee. However I suspect much like the Stones they will continue to play the odd gig and being out the odd track every now and then, personnally I'd like to see an album with Adam, I think it would be interesting.
