^ Because it's 1975 classic concert fully restored.
Hyde Park '76 is also not flawless concert, so what?

If you don't like Odeon '75 shut up and stand in the queue for 76...77...78...79... concert.
Thank God QPL started to release 70s stuff... It seems everyone already forgot moans from last 15 years about lack of officially released 70's concerts.

Because Budokan mystery aside, this Hammersmith show is the only video they have of 1975, so is this or nothing till the next year with Hyde Park (If they are going to continue with this plan, that's it)

It wasn't in need of any major restoration. All they've had to do is do a proper audio mix, and voilà!

To all those who both think and say that this is pretty pointless release because we've all had pretty damn good copies of it for decades, let's look at it with a glass half FULL instead.
Yes. I too am disappointed and it does 'feel' like a wasted release to a degree, BUT we are getting the best upgrade we are ever going to get, both in terms of picture and audio quality and hopefully the extras won't disappoint.
However, once this "obvious" release is out of the way, the next release should be much more interesting AND we are one step/one year closer to those 1977-'79 concert packages that every Queen fan has been clamouring for since Queen released their first live concert video back in 1984....

By December, QPL will have released a staggering THREE box sets this year. That's a heck of a precedent which I hope they continue into 2016 and beyond.
Sooner or later, ALL of those three (or even if it only becomes 2) yearly releases will become things of major interest to fans as they will undoubtedly touch upon the BBC Sessions, Extended (and other) remixes sets, live AUDIO releases for concerts where no video footage exists and, maybe, these live video releases will double each year when the band find they have more than one concert for each of their "working years" to present (ie, Houston AND Earls Court for '77 for example).

^ what he said.

I'd say Queen have done quite well with releasing archival stuff. Not as good as some acts, but far better than others.

Bring on the 75 show. It's been bootlegged for decades, so it should be in the shops.

Hold your judgements until you see what the bonus tracks are.

Must say that I'm so happy that they're now finally releasing all those great old concerts.

And the potential with Queen is just huge. There are - certainly compared to bands from the same era - many filmed and audio recorded concerts.

I really feel that they can make a live catalogue that is better than any live catalogue of any other band.
If this Hammy live box is of the same level as Rainbow and they do the same for 1977 (earls court/Houston and maybe some audio surprise (please LA last night of 77!)), 1979 (live Killers/crazy box), South America 1981 (with documentary about the historic nature of this tour), Rock In Rio '85 (f*ck anyone who disagrees, that first show is in many ways FM at his best), knebworth '86 (the last one...)

Imagine then the possibility of them having some surprising things (maybe the 1977 fan club concert? A US 1980 concert?)

Wow :-)

They should do 2 releases a year, just my 2 cents.

Why do you people insist on calling it a "great release" when it is so obviously a flawed concert? Half of the band is noticably ill, the set is short and they're visibly nervous. The only thing that could make this a "great release" is a set of stunning extras. If it is going to have to ride on Hammersmith '75 alone, it's going to be dull as dirt, ESPECIALLY to the 'casual' listener - who is not going to care about the back story and is just going to see a band that can't wait to get the show over with.[/QUOTE]
They're probably going to do what they normally do, autotune and overdub the life out of it

So let me get this straight… there are people on here who actively DON'T want this released??!!
Crazy!!! Personally I am SO EXCITED that we're getting this released. And if the rumours of the soundcheck being on the DVD are true then I've just wet myself!!! :-)
Dead Daddy Long-legs. I'm still drinking it.
