What you have to remember is that these days about 80% of what Brian May says is total rubbish.[/QUOTE]
I think that's quite unfair. The vast majority of what he says is spot on. The few bits that aren't are enough to doubt his recent claims, yes, but it's not a black or white situation.

There is also the whole story about I DON'T WANNA BE A ROLLING STONE — the third Bowie/Queen collaboration — that has yet to surface.
Also, Brian's account of Bowie dismissing the proto-Under Pressure as sounding like The Who could be Brian getting his bands mixed up.

So, out of hundreds of interviews, website updates, mag articles, doco appearances, etc., there are a few dozen mistakes. That's still the overwhelming minority.

Well there was the time he said Freddie watched and fully enjoyed Waynes world....
That "forever" was written about his dad dying in 1988.... it was released in 86
That seven seas of rye wasn't played in the 80's
That knebworth was filmed, something that gets repeated here endlessly.

That the first night was Wembley was incomplete.....
That "more to life than this" was "pieced together from scraps".
That you don’t fool me was "pieced together from scraps" (GT confirmed it was a full demo with full written lyrics)
Freddie really enjoyed "instert whatever event / person he wants to here"....
He said the short piano bit in The Magic Years "Butterfly" was "All things that glitter", they are nothing alike.

If David had to remind John how the riff was then we could conclude that either David actually changed it from what John had been playing before or John had actually forgotten the riff and assumed David had changed it in a vital way.

It's very likely that Bohemian Rhapsody in WAYNE'S WORLD had to meet the band's approval. It's common knowledge that films have various stages of completion

Both are extremely possible.
Movies are often filmed and completed a year or two before release, so it's very likely Mercury saw the final cut, never mind a rough cut.
And QP has often been wrong about what's in their archives.

WW is a SNL film. SNL is on during the winter so WW was likely filmed during the summer. It might have been ready well before the February release date.

We do actually know the studio stuff wasn't completed for waynes world as of october 1991. They had to use The Adams Family graveyard set for the first trailer because their interior sets weren't ready.
While it's not impossible for freddie to have seen the bohemian rhapsody Scene, if it was one of the first filmed, it's impossible for him to have seen the movie.

Where is the source that they HAD to use the Addams Family set? Wasn't it filmed there because it was a special trailer to be shown before The Addams Family?

Ahh, interesting. So then he would've seen a rough cut. Definitely not out of the question.
Anyway - consider dropping the narrative that Brian is a senile old fool. He's gotten a few things wrong over the years, but he's overwhelming gotten it right.

Penelope Spheeris said it in an interview way back in about 1995 for i think either "Video Watchdog" or "Chaplin" magazine how they were panicing over the interior sets. Another higher budget film was way off schedule meaning it took priority. They ending up sending the first trailer out using The Addams Family set becuase of that. I remember becuase she also bad mouthed Mike Myers quite a bit in the interview, apparently he's horrible to work with.
