I have 4:3 too and it looks fairly good. But this is a newer transfer so it blows the fullscreen version out of the water quality wise. I compared them frame by frame.

All right! Can I ask what source did you take for HTF, which features the newer transfer you were talking about?

I mentioned it in the OP. It is GHV 2. It also features more frame on the sides compared to fullscreen version.
