I think 'Innuendo' has some monumental highs and monumental lows. 'Delilah' is probably their worst song ever. Hadn'd Frederick been terminally ill, it wouldn't have even qualified for 'Hot Space' or 'The Works'.
'The Show Must Go On' is a wonderful track, but it's also been shrouded in myth what with the vodka stories and all that. From a purely musical perspective, I think both 'Save Me' and 'Sail Away Sweet Sister' are better songs.
Innuendo for me is a great album, I really think the soft spot on the album is Dililah and Hitman, the rest is solid. Some of my favorites are on it. I know the first 6 are the peak years, Innuendo, Jazz and The Game are on the same level. Maybe Innuendo has the slight edge of the 3 but it's really close. If they made a Queen movie, it should include the rise of Queen with Bo Rhap, live Aid and The making of Innuendo. The idea of a movie ending with live Aid doesn't make sense.

Delilah (those awful meows), My Baby Does Me (kiss, kiss) and Who Needs You (I like it, like it). Those are my three worst songs and the bits in brackets are the bits that make me die inside a little in particular every time I hear them. Ride The Wild Wind would be a close fourth possibly as some of the lyrics on that are so cringeworthy and the melody is pretty bland.
Oh and I wholeheartedly agree with Champion about the production on The Miracle. My least favourite album for that very reason. I'm not enough of an audiophile to fully appreciate the technical production problems on Jazz so I do enjoy that album. But while I assume The Miracle is maybe technically more polished the choice of instrumentation really lets it down. And the songs are a hell of a lot weaker too. What a disappointment after a very long three year wait.

raucousmonster: Kiss-kiss is from 'Rain Must Fall' :)
Delilah's meows by guitar/voice-box are great but by Freddie are not so enjoyable...

I hate coming soon too, delilah certainly isnt in my top 10 queen songs, but i dont hate it, i think the band let freddie do what the hell he want cos they knew it was his last album.

My Baby Does Me, Don't Lose Your Head.
And The Miracle track. It makes me feel sick. And i can't get my head around the begining of that album Party and KS just confuses me. Big fucking noise.

Doh! Thanks, I meant to say Rain Must Fall. My Baby Does Me isn't great either but it doesn't grind my gears quite as much as RMF.

Body Language, Man on the Prowl and Don't lose your Head for Me. Oddy i prefer A Dozen Red Roses for my Darling.
Curious to see I Want to Break Free is not liked that much.

The Miracle is a very mixed bag in terms of production. Some of it sounds extremely cheesy, but Was It All Worth It is extremely well mixed. Probably partly down to the unprocessed drums. Roger is great on the track - in fact he had a bit of a comeback on the drums on the Miracle and forward. On the tracks he actually played on, that is.
Interesting comparisons between Innuendo, Jazz and the Game, etc. I think it's like this:
Jazz
Innuendo
The Game
If we look at the stats (of course highly subjective):
Tracks are judged from composition, songwriting and delivery.
Jazz:
Amazing tracks: 1 (Bicycle Race)
Great tracks: 3 (Mustapha, Dead On Time, Don't Stop Me Now)
Really good tracks: 4 (Fat Bottomed Girls, Let Me Entertain You, Dreamer's Ball, Jealousy)
OK/Good tracks: 2 (In Only Seven Days, Leaving Home Ain't Easy)
Fillers: 2
The Game:
Amazing tracks: 0
Great tracks: 4 (Another One Bites The Dust, CLTCL, Dragon Attack, Save Me)
Really good tracks: 3 (Play The Game, Sail Away Sweet Sister (a great track if you like Brian's singing))
OK/Good tracks: 3 (Coming Soon, Rock It, Don't Try Suicide)
Fillers: 0
Innuendo:
Amazing tracks: 1 (Innuendo)
Great tracks 3 (I'm Going Slightly Mad, The Show Must Go On, These Are the Days of Our Lives)
Really good tracks: 4 (Bijou, Headlong, I Can't Live With You, Don't Try So Hard
OK/Good tracks: 2 (All God's People, The Hitman)
Filler: 2 (Ride The Wild Wind, Delilah)
Jazz and Innuendo are tied, but I just prefer the rawer sound and energy of Jazz as a whole. The Game doesn't have any real lows, but lacks the highs to compete with Jazz, Innuendo and Queen's other top tier albums.

The five Queen songs I dislike the most :
Funny How Love Is
Don't Try Suicide
Cool Cat
Pain Is So Close to Pleasure
The Hitman
I don't think I ever listened to these songs in full more than 10 times each since I started listening to Queen 25 years ago.

Can't argue with that, especially compared to the "I like it, I like it" on the Live Killers version of Don't Stop Me Now - badass, pure rock and roll.

Same here.
Sure, it sounds dated and all - but the melody and lyrics are excellent. I think it's a case of hardcore fans shitting on the hits because they've heard them so many times to the point of losing objectivity.
On this forum we've seen posts saying Bohemian Rhapsody is overrated, when in reality it's one of the greatest pieces of music composed in the last century.

Excellent analysis overall.
But I'd rank The Show Must Go On as highly as the title track - it's a top 10-15 Queen song in my book.
