All I can speak to is my own group's music collection. Joe Scardilli was an amateur DJ as a hobby. He had two turntables and some mixing equipment. I know he had bought some Queen records on his own and would mix songs such as "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Another One Bites the Dust." Lee and I had bought some albums too, but remember, we were going to many Queen concerts and got to know his music in those magnificent live settings. Years later, I bought all of the Greatest Hits CDs so I could listen to Freddie in my
car.
As far as Queen merchandise goes, we were given Queen shirts of all types by Freddie. I do not remember buying any myself because there really was no need to.

Freddie loved New York City at that time in the early '80's because he was able to walk down the street
and not be hounded by paparazzi and fans. He sported a new look (short hair and a moustache) which
helped him to not be recognized by many New Yorkers especially in the mostly gay areas of the city where
we would walk through.

Was there ever a time in NYC when you asked Freddie to go out and he declined...not feeling well, too tired, or just preferring to stay home that night? Or do you recall a time when Freddie tried to make plans with you and you declined for the same reasons I just mentioned?

Could you describe to us your last visit to Garden Lodge in as much detail as you remember?
Also, could you describe what you remember of the context of what we see of you outside of Garden Lodge in the yard on YouTube and the video where you are behind the couch when Freddie is signing autographs.
I totally understand that you may not be able to retrieve those memories...but still.

Both Freddie and my NY friends had pretty busy schedules. I have mentioned already that getting John and Joe to go out was based on their flight attendant schedules. Freddie had his concert tours but usually invited us along. I'm sure there were times where Lee and I had to cancel a pre-arranged plan and of course we tried hard to make our schedules coincide with Freddie's working needs. I do not remember any particular instances but I do know they were very few.
Freddie was not the type to cancel plans unless a change in them was absolutely necessary.

I'm assuming he occasionally flew his friends from London to visit him there. (You might have answered this already, but 92 pages into this tome, I am forgetting what I actually asked, what I contemplated asking, and what I read)
Wow, you guys never went out for pizza! Actually, of all the times I went into the city when I lived on Long Island, I don't recall eating pizza there either. I would, however, always make a point to go to "Mrs. Fields" to buy a chocolate chip cookie. In fact, the only restaurant I can recall by name that I ever ate at was the Olive Tree Café in The Village. I thought the chalk board tables were really neat!
I don't remember Peter Freestone ever mentioning that Freddie had much of a sweet tooth, so he probably wasn't a chocolate chip cookie guy. :)
