Wow, Thor, that's great to hear that there will be a book about Freddie from you, can't wait to read it.
Can you, please, remember what were Freddie's favourite parts of Manhattan island, like, did he like Lower East Side more than Midtown or otherwise? And can you please remember the last time you saw him in New York? Thank you in advance.
Oh, dear...

Really? So disappointed to see you acting this way. You came off as such a cool guy before this. You're acting like I'm the one thats calling you a liar. Kind of fucked up. Also you said you were going to ask Lee for some photos to post here. So you have no problem with sharing those but you have an issue with this? All I asked for was a pic to prove you are Thor because other people are calling bullshit on this thread. One photo would shut them up. I don't understand why you would have an issue with it. I'm not asking for your social security number or personal email. Whats the issue? [/QUOTE]
The dang it guy argueing with Thor. Wow.lol

Hey, I have finished a re-read of the original thread. I see that many good people have not joined us
on the newer thread "Thoughts on Thor Arnold's and Lee Nolans Eleven Year Friendship with Freddie"
It is alive and growing. Come add to the conversations!
Thanks,

Hi there, I’m new here. What I have determined from history, blogs, overseas and forums from past school reunions, he started at St Joseph’s Catholic School in Zanzibar, later to transferring to St Peters in Panchgani, India where he learned to box and play piano. ( he used a lot of boxing movements on stage)
Then later went to St Mary’s in Mumbai. I believe, although initiated ancient Zoroastrian which was approximately 1500 before Christ by his parents, he was influenced by Catholicism.

I truly believe the song Liar is about his days at school.

In terms of Garden Lodge, Freddie stated he didn’t want a museum, he wanted he wanted a family in the house. He was godfather to Mary first born Richard.....he also told her, had “ had things been different you would have been my wife and inherited this anyway.

There is more to them than we realize. Only they know.

What Thorgod has been saying contradicts several facts. He says he met Freddie in NY in early 1980’s and after spending a night with him he went to his concert in Philadelphia..
In both of Queen’s USA tours in 1980 and in 1982, Philadelphia concerts occurred several days earlier than those in NY. Freddie was in Hartford CT before Philadelphia in 1980 and in Boston before philly.
I can claim with high confidence that Freddie contracted HIV in 1980 from John Murphy in Vancouver. If Thurgod had slept with him he would have been dead by now.

I'm so confused, guys. Where is the original thread? Is it this one? If so, where is the new thread? ATM, I'm wading through the beginning pages of THIS thread. Help!

Indy19–this is the original thread. The new thread is the Thor Arnold Lee Nolan thread that pretty much resides close to the top of the list of threads in General Discussion as it’s quite active. At 150 + pages you really can’t miss it.

"You know how I know it's you for a fact? I dont message people in Instagram. The only 3 people I have ever messaged on Instagram have been my cousin, Freestone and someone else i know personally outside of social media. "

Just so you know, I don't know if FMLover is also HendrixGin, but I know for certain he/she is not me.

"Not only that but you've proven yourself a compulsive liar with that Larry Kelly thing and many other examples. "

Listen, first of all, what the fuck difference does it matter if Im FMlover or Hendrix or whoever? That doesn't prove anything one way or another. It's a moot point.

But I can tell you this. The "Larry Kelly thing" is real and true.

See my post directly before this one. He was my best friend. He told me those anecdotes in 1993, before Hutton's book was ever published.

He died later from AIDS. But his stories of his time in London and Garden Lodge remained consistent right up until days before his death from his death bed.

It's easy for you to live in denial if you don't want
to believe something....

But here's the thing, those things happened, and that doesn't change based on what you believe.

"Another one being that you and i have spoken. You have no idea who i am on Instagram and you know that. My name isn't even Dustin."

For the record, I haven't been on Instagram until recently. So, while you may have talked with this Hendrix chick or FMlover or whoever ...you haven't spoken with me.

So you're totally off base with me.

But it looks like your M.O.

Freddie Mercury Book w/ 50 unseen pics

be the first to share

I am trying to publish a book with over fifty never-before-seen photos
of Freddie Mercury's time in New York City (1981 to 1983) and in London visits(1986-1991). Also, I have written chapters that recount Freddie, the down-to-earth, generous and caring man, enjoying himself with his close American friends (of eleven years) right up to his unfortunate death. In his real life, Freddie enjoyed fitting in and just being "one of the boys" Early1980's New York provided this for him.
The book is finished and being reviewed by a literary agent. Publishing this book as a "coffee table book" will cost a good amount of money.
This book is timed with the opening of the new docu-drama "Bohemian Rhapsody" which is sure to reignite interest in everything Queen and everything Freddie. A free, autographed copy by the authors (I have a co-author who was also part of our group of close friends in New York and beyond) will be provided for any donation over $50.00. This book will definitely sell, but a refundable donation (once the book is published, available and selling) can be provided.

The title of the book will be "Freddie Mercury in New York - Don't Stop Us Now!"

I thank any donators in advance who might help us to make this project become a reality. YOU are the Champions! "

I don't understand why two grown men of advanced age, BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM, couldn't come up with a few thousand in starter money without trying to take advantage of the new little teenage fans in the wak e of the release of BoRhap.

I also don't understand why they would need thousands of dollars if they have managed to obtain a publisher. Seems like a LEGIT publisher would be fronting all the costs.

I also don't understand, even if they're telling all kinds of nice and flattering stories about Freddie, that they have to make a profit from it at all.

I'm understand that profiting and capitalism is good old fashioned Americana,

But why not just buy a website and publish the pictures and stories therefore pennies on the dollar?

Haven't there been ENOUGH of Freddie's "friends" , starting with Jim Hutton profiting off of Freddie's death?

Weren't the the goodies they got from him while he was alive enough? They gotta squeeze out every penny off of Freddie even almost FOUR DECADES later?

And I heard they were thinking Of doing NY Freddie tours for a price too?

Is that true?

If so, doesn't that seem a little sketchy/scammy to you??

Unbelievable how gullible people are.

No wonder America elected Donald Trump.

@FreddieDearie, I can address your above quote because it involved me. It is absolutely FALSE! Lee and Thor are NOT planning to conduct "NY Freddie" tours for a fee - or to make a profit.

The so-called "NY Freddie Tours" (or other similar variations on the name) came about because I had e-mailed Thor back in Jan. or Feb. of 2019, asking him what nightclubs or bars from the '80s that Freddie and his NY Daughters used to frequent remained open in 2019. My friends and I were headed out to NYC for a girls' trip in March to see "Hamilton" and Elton John's farewell tour @ the Garden. I thought maybe we could squeeze in some visits to Freddie's old haunts if we had time. I was also back in NYC for the 2nd time in 2019, as recently as a couple of weeks ago in June for work, where I continued the informal "NY Freddie Tours" on my own, in the after-hours.

Thor was a magnificent source of help. He had recommended sites to visit AND gave me descriptions, addresses, links, directions, even the public transportation schedule! I was overwhelmed and touched. He respects Freddie fans and takes their requests seriously. It took considerable effort and time on HIS part, and he and Lee had looming book deadlines. I truly appreciated it, and he had shared all the above info absolutely GRATIS! BTW, I am NOT an above average donor to the GoFundMe page, either. I donated the same exact amount others donated to get a signed book, no more.

Lastly, Thor is in no orthopedic shape to lead tours. He is a senior citizen who suffers from arthritis and bad knee(s). I am not violating federal HIPAA laws (laws of medical confidentiality in the U.S.). Thor has openly talked about his arthritis and bad knees previously on the threads. A thorough and comprehensive Freddie in NY Tour would involve traversing from NYC's Upper East Side to Midtown to Lower Manhattan's West Village to Jones Beach on Long Island. That involves LOTS of walking and utilizing public transportation.

Yes, I had joked about a West Village pub crawl if the guys have a book-signing in NYC. Please don't confuse that for a paid tour.

Anyway, I felt compelled to set the record straight. Facts don't have feelings.
