Thanks for your perspective. I hadn't thought of that. I agree he looked extremely fit for someone who didn't exercise. Considering how often he took his shirt off during shows, I'm sure it would be important for him to look good, but like I said, maybe he was just one of the lucky ones who naturally comes by his nice physique!

There was a quote about it in which Freddie supposedly said: "I do workout sometimes, although I don't like going to the actual gym. It's a bit embarrassing, especially when there's all these big blokes looking at a weed trying to pick up the odd dumbbell." It's from the 'His Life in His Own Words' book.
I am a bit dubious about quoting from that book however, because none of the quotes come with context or a source and many use it to twist his words to make him fit their heterosexual fantasies(!) That one seems legit though. And I can totally understand his reluctance to be seen all red and sweaty in a public gym! Same.

I seriously doubt that Freddie was 5.6. most likely 5.9 at lest.

What would you say are the 3 things you love / admired most about Freddie?
For me it was 1) his genius, of course 2) his strength of character, shown throughout his career and tested and proven during his illness and 3) His understanding of people (there seem to be countless examples of how he could empathise with others despite being a star, one example has come to mind, a fan, I think she was called Helen, used to hang around outside his home in london. Apparently he was always sweet to her, where he could have been off. She has a blog somewhere online, and she wrote something like how she approached him in the road outside his house, and one of his first responses was to say lets get out of the road. Responsible and caring when the fan may have been so star struck as to not to think about that.
Despite what is said about being in the rock n roll business, I think he had a hard job and played it consistently well.

I, personally did not witness Freddie working out, but you are right, perhaps he did it
by himself. Freddie could eat like a horse with good English fare, but never gained weight.

can meet in the middle at 5 ft; 71/2 inches...Phoebe would probably know. I'm sure he was
in on Freddie's costumes. When he met Freddie he was the wardrobe (director I believe) at
an Opera House in London.

Freddie simply got out of the car, marched over to the closest house (wearing a Japanese kimono and a 5 o'clock shadow on his face, mind you) and asked to use the phone. Luckily, the home owners recognized him and were thrilled to let him in. Even made him a cup of tea. He signed a few autographs and was on his way. Freddie saved the day and the driver found it hilarious. Freddie was often described as someone who relied on others to get things done, so this one always stood out to me and definitely made me chuckle.
