The poster responded based on what you wrote. I read all your comments and thought the same thing man. There's no need to get aggressive. I dont think you understand how your comments came across. If 2 people got the same notion from your comment then its fair to think perhaps your comment did in fact come across in a bad way. Please stop telling people to fuck off. Its seriously not cool. This person has not used that kind of language. Why should you? You're only lowering yourself man.

I'm stepping away from this, you're obviously too thick and insecure.

Sorry everyone.

And he's still here with the insults. Well apparently I'm the one who was thick and insecure. Funny seeing as it wasn't me who made a hypocritical post and then got extremely defensive when confronted about it. I believe that was you friend. But hey if you want to leave instead of being mature and explaining yourself or sorting it out that's fine. So long and farewell.

I'm not going anywhere, sorry. I'm not engaging with you further on the matter. To clarify. Now fuck off.

You keep saying you're not engaging in anything with me but you keep tossing "fuck off" and insults around like a child. Are you not capable of expressing yourself without behaving like a preteen? I gave you examples as to why I took your comment to be hypocritical. So there goes half your last comment argument right there. Stop making yourself look immature. You're digging a hole and its only getting deeper.

Just stop responding to him. You guys are taking away from the thread now. I understand where you're coming from but if he wants to keep going then let him talk to himself or you guys private message to sort it all out. Its not fair to the rest of the people in this thread to clog it up this way.
Ive said what I have to say on it and I think you two did too. Dont worry about insults. The previous posts speak to the kind of character the poster is..

WELL, WASN'T ALL THAT A VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY TREAT FOR FREDDIE
Y
Lololol yikes.

Hello The Squirrelly One,
To answer your question, Freddie never talked about expanding into acting or
any business pursuits, but my impression was that he left all that to the Queen
Organization which Mary was a big part of. Unlike what is going on now, he didn't
seem interested in commercializing Queen or himself.
T
Continuing on that last sentence,..any further than writing, performing and creating
music.

I think it's fare to say that Queen and he always had an eye on sales though, don't you?

The dichotomy of Queen: a diverse yet commercially aware band. Both odd yet radio friendly. I think it's a shame if what MC said was quoted correctly that he wouldn't sing in Baritone because his fans didn't expect it of him.

Thor, as a total aside, have you seen the first picture of Remi Malek as Fred?

Thanks. I understand he was involved in ballet in the 70s and did a little theater in the late 80's. He did seem like someone who was up to try anything in his career. I think he would have been great at just about anything he ever wanted to branch out on.

I think you're right. I know there was an interview that I had seen where Freddie was asked about his thoughts on Michael Jackson teaming up with Pepsi and the idea of commercialism and rock n roll together. The interviewer seemed to feel it cheapened the music a bit but Freddie said he thought it was great. He was very clear about his thoughts on money within the band. Freddie said his view of it was basically 'Its a job. We're here to make money and make good music so why not'. Which I think is a very smart way to go about it.
T
LOTV, I do not think Freddie had his eye on sales, other than the sales of his records.
He was happy to leave the business side of Queen to the Organization. Surely though
he had final approval and kept things tasteful. He never seemed to want money over
classiness.

That's what I meant my man, sorry to be vague.
Hopefully he didn't have his eye on the BHS sales with his wealth! Although some snaps of him at home don't show him as the best of dressers when dossing ;-)
He rocked a mean Fred Perry in-between gigs on tour though.
T
The Squirrelly One,
I don't know. If Freddie wasn't able to create music well with Michael Jackson,
I doubt Pepsi could have been a positive influence. Did Michael himself ever
continue the relationship with Pepsi after the scalp burning mishap?
T
@Thor

Yes I believe he did. I saw Jackson on the Bad tour and Pepsi was all over the stadium lol. I believe that was after the acccident. I'm not sure how long he kept up with it after that though.

Speaking of Jackson. I believe Freddie visited him while in LA. That was around the time you were in the picture right? Did he ever mention Jackson to you? Ive seen Mr.Freestone talk about the interaction between them during the recording session they had and it made me laugh quite a bit. It seems Michael was always an odd duck.
