Villiers, good idea.

I am more comfortable lurking, and maybe others are too?

Anyway, after 49 pages of posts, it is difficult to come up with new original questions ...

Oh, personally I'm one of those who read this but I'm not participating much in the talking. Still I enjoy it like the first day, I must admit I even check it more than twice a day! Im always curious and wonder what others may ask you. I'd love you to stay here and as said before, maybe checking it from time to time as I'm sure we will continue to write questions for you, I guess people don't want to make you feel as we are interrogating you either :)

Thor, I've been reading, but the early part of the week is full on for me, so I've had things in mind to say but not the articulation to say them, lol.

Also for some reason with this forum, if you click on a link for a photo, it automatically downloads. I went back for another look to see if one of the people in the pic was Freddie's aggressive boyfriend (hotel wrecker, hand biter) and that meant I downloaded the pic twice! I expect that's happened a lot for others, so it gives the impression of all those downloads but people not speaking, but it's not necessarily that way.

By the way, I love your photos, but I didn't want to post just to say that without something else to add...

I've been amazed how people have connected on this thread. And a lot of that was facilitated by you. I'm used to talking on forums, without ever thinking about the person behind the post, this thread made me have to think about each of you as people. It's a truly valuable thread.

Also, there may be times when I would not post because of not wanting to ask a simple question, or overloading you when there are plenty of posts already.

Just some thoughts for you. I'd like to see you stay, two main reasons, it's rare to be able to speak to someone who knew Freddie, but on top of that, you sound like a great person with a lot of integrity. I am now a fan of the Thundergod! :-)

I'm also wondering if there are a lot of lurkers out there who are just not confident enough to post up and maybe we could encourage them..

I'm a member of a number of groups on facebook, but my favourite one is where you check in less frequently, but when you do, it's real quality that you post. And the group is really supportive. So just thinking that frequency of posting isn't always best, sometimes its the thought and quality of a post. That said, it's been great watching the thread grow quickly when everyone's online together and chatting.

I hope you choose to stay, but either way it's got to be right for you. Very grateful for what you've offered us here. :-)

Before you leave the thread, are there any other stories about spending time with Freddie that you want to share? I know it was a long time ago, but I am sure you have some more memories about Freddie that you haven't shared with us yet. Sorry if that sounds like an intrusive question. There must have been some funny or memorable moments from Garden Lodge, backstage, or at his apartment that you remember.

OK, my friends, I didn't mean my comment to be so dramatic. I think you
have reminded me with your kind thoughts that we really should keep going.
Forget Sept. 30th. BACK IN BUSINESS!!!..thanks to YOU.

Hi smilefairyqueen,
Since I am staying, I will rack my brain to come up with more.
I have mentioned however that often my memory gets triggered
with discussions right here.

If you do leave, Thor, thank you for sharing all the info you have and I hope that when you leave, knowing that homophobia is alive and well and will always likely be, you contributed a ton of stories with about a thousand replies and veyy little negativity about Freddie and you and your friends lifestyle. Given the world we live in today it would be easy for someone to turn this into a bad series of posts, but I think you have a great sense of humanity that shows through, and whether it's true or not, I will believe that you brought a lot of tolerance to some posters who may not have had it before you appeared here.

Sheer Brass Neck...I am staying!!!

Great to hear, Thor!

You've really been an unexpected gift to everyone here these last couple of months!

Thor,
Like PrimeJiveUSA said, you are an unexpected gift. I have been coming here for years but never posted anything until you came along. It is a gift to have someone like you here.

Wow...that's awesome flo90! That is a great testament to the power of this thread. If Thor were to leave it would be like the lights got really dimmed around here.

PrimeJiveUSA,
I completely agree.

You guys are way too kind...Iove y'all !

Thor,

I'd like to echo the sentiments of the people before me. This has been such an incredible experience. I have read many other discussions on QueenZone over the past couple of years, but have never been interested in posting a question or comment until I came across this amazing thread. As I think I mentioned a while back, I don't even have a Facebook page...this posting thing is totally new territory for me. It took me a bit of time to drum up the courage to do this, but I'm so glad I did. Grateful that you decided to stay for the time being. We will gladly accept your continued participation at whatever level works for you and we thank you for sharing bits of your life with us. You are more than just a "Friend of Freddie's" !
