Hey SmokyQuartz,
Lee Nolan was "Kathleen" named by Freddie, because he loved to give "B" actress nicknames to his friends,
based on our last names. Kathleen Nolan was a 60's "B" actress only slightly famous from her role in
a US comedy program called "The Farmer's Daughter."
To this day, Lee loves this nickname and it was used just as much as Phoebe's nickname, whenever we
got together. Mine did not stick (P.P. Arnold ????) but Lee, (especially in that fruit hat) was a definite
Kathleen. Freddie was so proud that he came up with this lasting nickname.

Silly me, of course! I knew the others were based on surnames, but somehow thought Kathleen hadn't been explained. No idea why, lol.

Phoebe's name has definitely stuck, I don't even think of it as a girl's name anymore. I love the idea of 'Kathleen' having stuck too, LOL! And yes, your name is far too interesting already to have any alterations.

Thor,

Oh my gosh, the dancing story was so funny. I can just picture Freddie out on the floor. I wish there were pictures of that. It is surprising he felt so uncomfortable dancing since he moved so well on stage and in videos. I guess one skill does not necessarily translate to the other.

RBoulain,

Yeah, winters are long and cold where I live. (But as a child, one of the great joys in life was getting a "snow day" from school.)

Bad thing here in Spain, and specially where I live, you get the ugliest winters ever because as we are sorrounded by beaches we don't have any snow and the cold is so sticky, really ugly, for me Christmas and winter comes in mind as a time for snow and pretty lights which is pretty much what I see in the photos of my US friends :) Where do you live, Rainbow? Sorry I must have missed it!

New York State. The cold weather is not always welcome, but it is truly lovely when it snows. Nothing more beautiful than freshly flocked evergreen trees.

@Thor

Did you ever see Freddie "slow dance" and did he whisper sweet, delicate things into his partner's ears?
R
Oh Rainbow you pictured it so well, that's my dream place to visit! ;)

I'm back...
PJUSA, I never did see Freddie slow dance..and sweet things were ALWAYS said by Freddie as well as very clever biting sarcasm,
All of that was always done in fun...NEVER mean spirited.

HaHa RBoulain,
I felt exactly the same about snow days off from school. It meant that the whole day was
available for sledding, building igloos (my favorite) and snowmen or snow women without
the snow balls of course...LOL. AND the best was NO NEW HOMEWORK...glorious day!

Oops I mean Rainbow

Question to all,
Has anyone else had trouble maintaining the
"Email me when someone replies to this thread" feature?
It keeps getting wiped away no matter how many times I check the box.
Any ideas?

And where did that extra thundergod come from at the bottom???
T
testing 1 2 3

Extra "thundergod" removed but still unable to get the email notification which I depend on to get timely
responses back to you. Help!

Hi Thor. It happened to me too, twice. The 3rd time I clicked it, it seems so stick since some hours ago. I keep getting many different errors/bugs from the site so Im sure its not you and you cant really do much.
However if anyone knows a definitive solution Im all ears.

The extra thundergod appeared as a signature so maybe you tried to get one before? Or just another bug.
