Rainbow Dahling,
Have I still not impressed on you that I don't mind a repeated question. So, please
no more apologies, but please just ask away!

ALL,
I realize that I forget to address responses and questions sometimes. Please do not hesitate
to repeat the question or reply that you might want to get a response on.
I really don't mind if any one of you ask a question that was asked before. If I say "I covered that",
please don't think that I am scolding you. Now that we are at page 56, if I tell a story for a second
time....You certainly can tell me so too...in a friendly way...LOL

Thor, if you could say anything to Freddie right now, what would it be? That is, if you were given a chance to sit down with him one more time and speak to him for a few hours, what message would you like him to take away from it?

I think about this all the time when I think about my lived ones who are gone. Ive been lucky enough to have had a handful of dreams with them (where I know I was really speaking to them) and every time I wake up, I always think "I forgot something. I should've said---"

I am someone who believes in the afterlife (Ive seen too much proof). I believe those who are no longer with us can and do hear some messages from those they loved and were close to.

Anyway, just curious as to what message it might be. Catching him up on what friends have been up to perhaps, or just reminiscing. Is there anything you'd like him to know?

I hope it's not too personal a question. If it is, feel free to skip it.
M
^ I too would like to hear that side of things. Thing is, it's not really Freddie related.

U know. ...like have you ever seen an ethereal persona in the room when someone has passed. Has anybody coded and come back telling u the odd story....ever experienced any interactions with the departed? ....stuff like that. I know it's likely very personal. They're just interests of mine.

I feel as if I USED TO KNOW what happened, but have been mired by personal loss that has clouded perspective with frustrations.

(If that makes any sense)

I wouldn't wanna cheat and rewrite it as "have you ever seen mr Mercury in spirit form or in dreams"

Such things are likely complex, considering how infinitesimally small we may likely appear to another thing in the universe. Anyways. Yeah. That stuff...

I could imagine that a reflective thoughtful nurse would have some insights and experiences with the matter.
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"
Y
I agree. As a nurse, I'm sure he's at least wondered about it all before. Even those who believe in it all don't usually 'see' a spirit or anything, so I wouldnt be too shocked if Thor hadn't. But I once knew a girl in college who was an atheist and had a wonderfully brilliant mind for science. She didn't believe in any of it (to the point of getting annoyed when anyone even brought it up) and she herself had an experience she couldnt explain. I just remember her in tears, shaking like a leaf and saying she couldnt come to class.

Of course, being a biology student- she spent days looking things up to find a scientific reason behind it and came across something that Neil Degrasse Tyson said about the afterlife. I don't have the exact quote, but bare with me..

"We are made up of molecules that need energy to grow and to live. To sustain life, we need energy. When we stop using energy, we die. But the thing is, energy never breaks down. We get it from food, that gets it from soil, that gets it from particals and bacteria, that gets that energy from the sun, and so on and on and on. The energy doesn't just disappear when we stop living because it never stops. It just changes. From a scientific stand point, you can argue that the energy left when we die is broken down to the soil to start the process again. But again, it doesn't just disappear. Some believe that energy that makes us who we are just changes and goes to another place when we die. If our spirit works the way our bodies do, then yes theoretically speaking, the energy (spirit) would just change form and continue on. Because at the end of the day, energy never disappears. You can't break it down forever."

NDT doesn't personally believe in the afterlife, he says as hes a man of science and "scientists need physical, visual or mathematical evidence to believe in all things" but it gave my friend peace of mind.

I still don't know exactly what she experienced. She refused to talk about it, but she believes (in "something") now lol

By the way, I really hope this isn't coming across as morbid.
T
matt z and Villiers,
Wow, such an interesting topic and I do have thoughts on the subject.

I also believe that after we pass our "soul" reverts to it's basic substance which actually,
IS energy. I have believed this for a long time, way before I even knew who Neil Degrasse Tyson
was. With all the different forms of energy in the Universe i.e. Dark matter, radiation, tiny particles
beyond just protons, neutrons and electrons, magnetism, gravity, quantum theory, etc., why
wouldn't we blend into this energy when we die. Religion believes in the soul and staying in some
sort of human form because it is simple to understand. Since the beginning of mankind there was
always a fear of the unknown and the unexplainable such as the afterlife. Without that, life would be
pointless. Mankind did not have science yet, so it needed an explanation and a belief system basically
to put up with the hardships and constant loss of the relatives they held near and dear.

Now, I was NOT a believer in contact from the beyond until what I am about to tell you happened.
So, I think I have told you that every year, I would bring my mother west for a national park and scenic
vacation. She always loved that and cried every time she had to go back home without me.
Three years ago I have been doing the same for my sister and going to many of the same spots I
went with my mother. So, October 2014 I took her to LA and we stayed at a wonderful hotel with
and outdoor restaurant on the balcony. After one dinner with a gorgeous red/orange lighting the clouds
for sunset, we continued to watch the sky. The moon was almost full and the sky became completely clear.
A little bright red spot was close to the moon. It turned out to be Venus. My sister said, "this is a sign from Mom,"
I did not believe her. The next year, also in October, on our last day at the Grand Canyon, it was pouring down rain.
When we took one last look at the canyon, suddenly and I mean suddenly 3/4 of the rain clouds disappeared
and a full rainbow fell over the entire canyon. Again, my sister said this is a sign. Now, I have been to the Grand
Canyon about 7 times at all different times of the year and I had never seen such a rapid change of weather (in
10 minutes) and had NEVER seen a rainbow over the canyon. I was not won over yet until last October 2016.
I met my sister in Santa Fe, New Mexico a town that my mother had fallen in love with. Very historic and beautiful.
We were going around the downtown area and I saw a little Christmas shop. My sister wanted to move on but I said,
let's just stop here for a minute. On the bookcase with a clear, prominent front of the bookcase view, was a book called
"Strubble Peter". My sister and I were completely shocked. Neither of us had seen that book in 50 years. My mother was
German and used to read from the book when we were children. I have been to bookstores all over the world including
Germany, but had never seen nor thought of that book again until this moment...and there it was in a prominent front row
position where we could NOT have missed it. My sister is coming to San Diego on Oct. 10th and we are going to stay
locally. Can't wait to see what Mom has in store for us this time.

Sorry this story was so long..thanks for bearing with me on this.

Still having trouble with e-mail notifications....anyone?

Are you using your phone to click the option or a desktop? Id suggest trying it on a desktop if you havent already. This site doesnt handle mobile adaptation very well.

Very sweet story Thor thank you for sharing. I'm sure she will have another sign for you and your sister. I also believe that means the soul is at rest. I was once pretty heavy into learning about spirit (not nessessarily religion, but more of the energy that we talked about) and many people believe that once they leave signs or any form of communication, it's confirmation that they are in a place of freedom and bliss.

But I'm still curious as to what you might like to say to Freddie if you got the chance today? Is there anything you feel was left unsaid (obviously pretty personal, so don't feel like you have to answer it)- actually might be why you didnt answer that one to begin with lol and if so, I'm sorry lol
S
Dear Thor,

it really made me smile when I read about the" Strubble Peter". My mother used to read the book to me, too, when I was a child.
So your mother was German. Which part of Germany did she come from? Do you speak a little German? Still have relatives in Germany?
S
You mentioned that Freddie would come to you and ask for relationship advice. What sort of things did you guys talk about in those conversations? If it's too personal you don't have to share it.

Hey LOTV,
I am not aware of the last vocal duet. Who is Richard?
Would you be so kind to throw me a link. Thanks

See if this works fella. I wasn't even aware this happened until not so long ago. I'd always heard rumours of a secret fn club gig in 88, which turned out to be bollocks.

Richard be Cliff Richard.

Thats the musical I was talking about some pages ago, 'Time', it happened April 13, 1988, and Freddie got involved because it was a charity event. He sang only four songs: Born To Rock 'n' Roll, In My Defence, It's In Every One Of Us (with Cliff Richard) and Time. I brought it up in case anybody knew any video sources and there's only photos and audios. He really sounds great!

Just a thought Thor: We know musically Freddie was very much a perfectionist and would work long hours getting it just right, yet at the same time he liked to describe his music as disposable. It's a curious mix, I guess his attitude was to do the best with his talent and after that the end product was what it was. Was he protective over his music?

I ask because I'd like t know what you think he'd think of what others have done with his music, and in particular what he would think of Adam Lambert fronting Queen.
