I just installed Adblocker and it took the entire page down so I had to ask
to stop blocking these particular ads because it is my only access. If I go
to settings and say "yes" to email notifications, it STILL does not work.

Indeed! Im only guessing but considering the phrasing they used, I have a feeling I may know who that person was that took it the wrong way. If its who I think it is, then they used it to try to "prove" that Barbara and Freddie were lovers, and it's their only argument. they're a huge Barbara fan. Their argument was "Peter Freestone is lying, Jim Hutton was lying, and Chris Taylor was lying: my proof is that Chris said Freddie called her a whale he would have never insulted her like that. So obviously... they were lovers and you can't trust what those people say." Yes, that was their actual argument. Theyve brought it up via facebook, YouTube and twitter. They've even taken to exchanging letters with someone who never met freddie but knew Barbara and this person asked "did freddie ever call her a whale?"
As if this friend of Barbaras would know that lol. They wrote back "No! Never! He was too kind!"
Im rolling my eyes just thinking about it. Of course I don't know that this is the same person who commented here and I'm not saying it is, but that it sure does remind me of them and it doesn't shock me that they may have taken what you said the wrong way.

Thank you for answering my question Thor! I do find it a little rude he called Phoebe a cow, but then again I am a pretty sensitive person and a big softie. It probably didn't bother him, but a comment like that would upset me. I have heard that a lot of scandalous things would happen backstage at Queen concerts. Did you witness any of this? Also, I have seen some Queen footage where he got close to the audience and some women in the crowd would try to grab at him, smack his butt, etc. I always wondered what he thought of that. He probably enjoyed it! He seemed to always be wiggling his ass on stage. LOL.
Pretty sure he would have preferred them to be men haha. Or better yet a bunch of Burt Reynolds look a likes! Apparently that was his favorite pinup.

The Zarthusti (Zoroastrian) religion including the prayers is in an ancient language nobody today really understands perfectly (except some German scholars who are more knowledgeable about Zoroastrianism than we are!). This is because when the shiploads of escaping Parsis arrived in India, the ruler there granted them sanctuary on a few conditions. They could never convert anyone (so we are dying out), could never use their own language, or their own style of dressing, and the men had to serve in the king's army in times of war. So we lost the language, and very honestly, I can only give you a rough idea of the afterlife according to Zarathustra (the prophet, Zoroaster is the anglicised name). It is pretty much the usual stuff - paradise and comfort if you've been good. Fire and brimstone if you haven't. There is a bridge you cross when you die. If you make it safely to the other side, you are okay. If you fall down, well, into the flames you go! But there is a lot of forgiveness, and God will forgive you even if you have done one really good deed. And Paradise is just love and acceptance of everybody. (To be honest, Parsis leave out everything from the religion except 'manashni, gavashni, kunashni - good thoughts, good words, good deeds. We've made it all very easy and convenient - according to my husband who is NOT Parsi)
As they say, 'There are no atheists in foxholes'. Everybody seeks the comfort of God when they are coming close to the end. Or when they're in trouble. I personally don't believe in organised religion at all, but the good thoughts,etc, sounds good to me.

I knew this lovely old Catholic priest who used to go to hospitals and hospices to pray with the patients, and he told me that most people (of all faiths) when they got close to death were at complete peace, and ready to go. Most of them 'saw' some kind of 'vision' of the afterlife, and it was always very beautiful. He said they were so joyful.

(And my grandpa went through the same thing the last 3 days of his life.)
So here's hoping Freddie felt the comfort and peace that was awaiting him.

First, you also reminded me of a cute little personal story. At my sister's house back in July six of us wanted to play
Scrabble, so we had to split into three groups. My nephew, who likes to show off his muscular (I think steroided)
body alway walks around in his tight fitting boxer briefs right in front of any kind of company. So, I nicknamed them,
"Team Underpants." My sister and I both have arthritis (Osteoarthritis) and we were thus named "Team Arthritis"...LOL
Anyway, thank you so much for your kind words...they are very sweet.

Freddie to dump him.
2) I promised not to make further statements about Mary. I understand some QZoners don't want judgements about her.
and are really passionate about this. I only met her a handful of times and she was quiet. All that I really did know was
that I " thought her treatment of him was cold. When I did visit Peter after Freddie's death he told me he was asked to
leave within that same week. He would have told me if "probate" was the real reason, which he did not.
3) Peter Freestone is a rare gem. I guess you all know that he became a nurse also. I could only WISH to be attended
by someone as kind, selfless and capable as dear Phoebe
4) I did not ever hear about an emotional breakdown or waking up in a dumpster...Peter would NEVER have allowed that
even if Freddie had said something like..."Dahling, this seems like an adorable, cozy and comfortable little dumpster to
take a refreshing nap in."
5) The Munich days were mostly unknown by me or Lee. Freddie called us several times but each time the phone had about
a 15 second delay on this side. We always talked at the same time and since Freddie was not hearing this delay, just my
interruptions, he didn't understand how difficult it was to have a conversation. I got frustrated and he got frustrated and the
very first somewhat unkind words I had ever heard him say was "Dahling...JUST DEAL with IT.
6) No I did not know of that ridiculous law in the UK but I am sure it was worse in my country. Certain states still had sodomy laws
and the right to invade your house if it was suspected that this was going on. Normal states had abolished these hateful laws.
That is why I lived in New York and then California, certainly never Texas or Alabama.

No need reply if this is too obvious or not helpful Thor, but when you go to www.queenzone.com/forums, is ANY thread listed there? Because for me when I go there I get the different Sub-Forums, Like 'General Discussion,' 'Serious Discussion,' etc. And then you have to click on those to get the list of threads. Your's being in the General Discussion forum...
But I think you probably already know this, and something else is going on. Maybe it is a case of trying a different browser. :-)

Just want to acknowledge your story of your Mother, Thor, and afterlife communication. Pretty amazing some of the synchronicities that you described.
When my father died, I actually had a very unusual experience a few days later. After the shock (it was very unexpected), the fallout, etc, and ensuring my mum was going to be ok, dealing with his business and everything, I got home, sat on the sofa and was suddenly flooded with images of his face, his smiling face, everywhere. It was as if someone had filled the room with bubbles and every one was his smiling face. It was like some kind of brain storm and could have been put down to the stress of course. I've never been able to explain it apart from saying that he came to let me know he was ok, that it really is true, we survive death (we'd always talked about it, his smile was one of profound 'knowing' and as if he'd 'arrived' and was just returning to let me know). I will always have a questioning mind, but I will also always remember that experience.
