I have no issues with Bri and Roger as it happens, they are idols of mine. I just don't see them as saints who can do no wrong. If you don't think they like a quid or two you are somewhat blinkered. I don't blame them either btw, it's their music and they can do what the fuck they want with it.

If I remember correctly from one of those documentaries about Freddie, it was pointed out that Barbara was sort of a matchmaker, or a go between for gay dudes in Munich. Allegedly, she'd also participate with these guys, if you know what I mean. Seriously doubt that Freddie had any romantic feelings for her.

Yes, for what I've could read about people reviewing that book (I havent read it myself because I consider it a waste of time), almost everything written there was bolloks. They mentioned she also "ignored" some of Freddie's first gay relationships making an effort to "show him" as bisexual. According to Jim's book, one of the personal details he gave was that whenever they were gonna be intimate, Freddie told him to get the cats out of the room as he wanted total intimacy, so the "watching" thing is pretty weird as you well said.

I never understood why Barbara lied about something that could be proven wrong so easily. Why admit to only being his friend while in documentaries with Peter Freestone and everyone else who knew you both... then take a pay off for one of the worst tabloid writers on earth and claim you had sex with him and that his overly jealous/protective boyfriend (Winnie who was also gay and not interested in women) was totally into having a threesome with you. In all the years Freddie traveled the world he had no women. There wasn't a single woman that anyone can remember him showing interest in but she wanted you to believe that out of the clear blue... out of all the women he could have had that didn't resemble livestock.... he wanted Barbara in 1984? At like 200 lbs? ( ?° ?? ?°)

Yes she left out David Minns who was pretty significant considering that's who he was seeing when he first came out as gay, the man he left Mary for...
Lesley Ann Jones used quotes from his co-writer friend David Evans in her book, so she definitely read it but for some reason decided that whole pivotal relationship wasn't worth mentioning. And she calls Minns 'a brief fling'. Yeah...they were involved for 3 years.

Yeaa...it's unconventional. On the other hand, I don't think having a female in bed would make them bi. Just as two straight guys having sex with one girl at the same time, doesnt make tham gay or bi.

I've read all kind of things about her. Freddie getting mad at her because she called the press many times to be photographed with him and telling they were going to marry, and claiming to be his friends but once he passed, started to create all those ridiculous stories. As Winnie was also gone, maybe she thought nobody could prove her wrong. My guess is that she just wanted the media attention and she was in love with Freddie and became crazy.
