No, definitely not his fault. It's the fault of the filmmakers for choosing him to play Freddie. I'll reserve my final judgement until I see the film and maybe I'll be completely proved wrong and he'll do a marvelous performance. I'm thinking the actual performance could be terrific..it's just the look that is throwing me off. I know I'm not alone in this.

No, definitely not his fault. It's the fault of the filmmakers for choosing him to play Freddie. I'll reserve my final judgement until I see the film and maybe I'll be completely proved wrong and he'll do a marvelous performance. I'm thinking the actual performance could be terrific..it's just the look that is throwing me off. I know I'm not alone in this.

Spot on. This is a movie. And although normally a biopic has many real life events, almost everything is "dramatized", meaning that it has a pinch of salt to it, and can even have scenes that never happened in the first place. One character can even be a portrait of 3 ou 4 real life people. That's why this kind of movies have a "this movie was based in real-life events" (or something similar) in the final credits. The crucial word here is BASED.

People on here are so negative. We have seen a couple of early pics, and that is hardly anything to go by at all. They are not even filming yet! It feels like some loves to be negative just for the sake of it. If anyone expects that everything is going to be 100% true to reality you will be very disappointed. The guy playing Freddie looks like Vlad the Impaler Tepes who had big round malicious eyes which doesn't describe Freddie at all. Freddie had magnificent eyes, this coming from a straight guy.

Quite frankly, I don't think there's a perfect actor match for Freddie. Just be thankful Sacha Baron Cohen never got the role.
