Was there some sort of Royal family rescue he performed? Did he stop a militant invasion somehow? Did he donate his ordinariness to charity?

He's allegedly one of the famous pedos - somehow he's gotten away with it though

He is the British Elvis you disrespectful fuck.
It's so funny how people don't know that anymore.

"disrespectful fuck"
Elvis did everyone a favour and died on the crapper when he was fully wrung out, though.

If Elvis hadn't died he could have replaced Freddie in 1991. The King and Queen, uh huh huh, thank you very much. Freddie has left the building.

They could've also done that with MJ. They could've added 'The Prophet's Song' to the live set so Michael could sing the 'oh, oh, children of the land' line.

To paraphrase Kirk in IV:
"Double fuck you, too!"
I really don't hear anything special.... he's really the British equivalent?
amazing to find this out.
Maybe I'm missing something...
is there a "definitive work" you could point me in the direction of?

My grandmother used to sing the German version of "Lucky Lips" to me when I was a child - he was already old fashioned when I was a child but in England he was huge with no. 10 hits over 5 decades. It still boggles my mind that the police raided his house in his absence and invited the BBC to film the action from a helicopter. What an extreme low that was for the English justice system and public television. It was open season against any gay celebrity (or perceived gay celebrity) in the wake of the Savile scandal. There was never a shred of evidence that Cliff Richard abused anyone, old or young.

Well. No definitive works stated.
Will watch a bio from 10/2000; maybe take note and go from there.
Previous things I'd heard/seen didn't smack of anything fantastic; which was why i posted the QUESTION in this thread.

Nah, all sarcasm. The press referred to him as the British Elvis.
'It's So Funny' was his biggest song of the 70's. The guy is a fucking tool.

SIR Cliff Richard has had top ten hits in 6 decades, and has had over 120 singles, albums or EPs make the top 20 (more than any other artist).
Beyoncé and That exaggerated ass chick will all probably break records like that (*although adjusted for sales it won't mean the same thing) ...so it's not about superlatives and records really.
What made the guy special is what I'm looking for

It is actually called 'We Don't Talk Anymore' and is perhaps the finest song ever written..
