Great post, snifflese! I love that everyone in the QAL corroboration are having fun both on stage and off! It helps to have a great sense of humor and not take yourself seriously.

I just saw this and thought it might have more weight than anything I would ever say. It sounds as if this person is thoroughly acquainted with Queen and has been for many years. He has seen Freddie, Paul and Adam. I thought it interesting that he finds Adam a better fit than Paul. Interesting read!
I am not that young so it isnb't a difference in age. I was in my early 20's when I first heard Queen in the 1970's and I have followed them ever since, not at a die hard fan, but back then it was harder to follow a band than it is now on the internet. I bought all their records and loved them, although Brian and then Roger were my favs. I have followed them for over 45 years, so that does make me a fan!
As far as opera, we will have to respectfully disagree as to how successful Freddie was. I think it was more the novelty of it than that it was well sung. I have included a link of the Prayer of Adam's singing " The Prayer" which is quite beautiful and kind of an operatic/ classical song. If it doesn't work, it is him singing with Noa Dori. I think Adam would have made big bucks as an opera singer. I love him singing music like this!! The video following this is an excerpt from Brigadoon which is probably my favorite song from him. Try that one! That is what I would love to hear from him!

Why do we "discuss" on here? Reading Statements like "Freddie was not so good live" (which means AL is a better fit than Freddie - wtf????) or the Statement "Freddie was a DIva" - just utter bollox. Every true Queen Fan knows that Freddie might have had a Diva Image but he was the glue that kept it together. He was the one in the Studio that helped stopping the fights. The Diva in Queen was alsways Brian with his endless argueing and knitpicking over one note.
Lamebird brings nothing to the table. He sounds like crap on rocksongs. He might be usable as a sidekick in the WWRY Musical but thats it. And his stupid stage Antics??? Freddie was always tongue in cheek but the goat tries so hard to copy that that it Looks like he really means it. Sitting on Franks head in a Joker costume? Riding a trycyle and the awfuld awful crowning - this is just disgusting and mocking the once mighty Queen. But how the mighty have fallen.
I just read this now: "I think listening to Freddie sing with that female opera singer was beyond painful." You really mean it dont you? For most QUeenfans this is Freddies best vocal performance by far ony any Album (including all Queen Albums). What are you Smoking? And you wonder why delusional Glamfarts are not welcome on Queen Forums? Should we go over to Lamebird sites and bash him for raping Queensongs (which he clearly does with his annoying goatlike voice). I think he is an abomination as a singer and as a person. An utter tool with no Talent. A loser in a casting Show. I am longing for the days when QAL are over (which is soon) and the parrot will strut in front of 15 bored housewives on cruise ships singing We Are The Champions. That will be his destiny.

Yea and it's also creepy to keep repeating the same negative crap all over the internet, once is enough. How is that any different than what you say Caroline does? You use derogatory language and make fun of the band with stupid names and just sound juvenile. As far as American Idol, who cares? Once every 10 years a gem is going to come through. Roger and Brian would have been beyond stupid to ignore Adam simply because he was from Idol.
Yep, Freddie was awesome and his writing ability and musical ability was something else, but his live performances weren't always so wonderful. Sure he sounded amazing on CD, but I listened to many of the concert you tubes people have posted and Oh, Boy, not so good. He usually couldn't sing in the same key and the vibrato was off the charts and it wasn't necessarily amazing. I listened to Killer Queen several times and it didn't sound like the recording at all. Yea, I am not so sure I would have been impressed as far as concerts go. I am sure there were many off the chart moments, but not all of them. QAL brings it every night and there are no off nights. There is that! Complain all you like, but you don't have to be childish about it with those cute nasty names, that just shows how childish you are. If you are going to post, be a grownup about it. I don't care who you like, but it is the way you go about it![/QUOTE]
Stealing a profile for any reason is fucked up. No matter how "negative" you might think someone is. There's a black button on Facebook, but hey let a Glambert steal a Facebook profile instead. That doesn't make any Glambert look good, it's petty, creepy and fucked up.
Q+AL can mess up. Three times in a row at the start of the tour. I even think AL messed up Save Me at one point too...since I can't be postive about that song anymore.
I'm glad the couch wasn't a part of the last tour. Maybe for some people the couch, crown were funny, but to me it came across as tacky. It actually took away from the music, instead of adding to it,, IMO.

Of course you would think AL singing anything is beautiful. That's fine, but I don't think you know or even care about the history of the Barcelona album. Freddie's heart and soul went in to that album, too bad you think of it as a novelty. The things I read from some Glamberts at times o.O
The crown is still there. FOr me that is a Point where they have clearly crossed a line. This was pure Freddie (but he meant it the funny way). Seeing the parrott strut around with the crown you can almost hear his inner voice like "i am the King now" while all he is and stays is a karoke singer living on the laurels of a man who is dead since 1991 and connot defend himself anymore against this nonsense.
The Couch Thing was awful. AL playing the "i am the gayest guy on the planet" while Freddie played an awesome piano while he was singing his heart out. This is a Broadway Show not a rockshow.
I dared to open the link to the "classic" song - he sounds flat as a tire. The Girl has a far better voice. When they duet all you hear is her. His voice is paperthin and has no depth or power whatsoever. Thats why he cannot pull any rocksong off. At least he did not look like a transvestite on dope. That came later

I hate the crown. More than ever since a cape was added to it during the last tour. I first saw the crown and was shocked by it, even more shocked it was kept as a part of the show. I will never like it, it's a cheap ass gimmick in my books.
Cue sweetcaroline to say the crown symbolised a passing of the torch to AL when it fell off AL's head and Brian put it back on AL's head.
might be a passing of the torch from a legend to a parrott. What also puts me off is this constant "Freddie would have loved it" they Keep selling all those tours. The line "Paul Rodgers was Freddie's fave singer" annoyed me as well (there was no evidence of that). But QPR was a believable collaboration of two legends and the Highlights for me were the Free/Bad Company Songs that sounded great. What does Lamebird bring to the table: WDYWFM (a Pink song) and the abomination "Two Fux". I remember Brian playing this für the first time in the US on a TV Show where he moved his foot to therythm of this awful tune and i really felt pity for him. From a legend to a Clown who lost it. Sad
Freddie WAS magnificent and Adam IS magnificent !!!!!

Do you think because someone has passed away they can no longer be magnificent?
Freddie was and remains a legend, fact.
While AL is riding on Brian's and Roger's coattails.
THe usual "Freddie was" and "Adam IS". I can respect the guy when he has 100 Million Albums sold, can Play an Instrument and be recognized as a Musical Icon. Until then he can vanish for good.
Happy: we might be twins apart from your U2 hate hahaha. At least we are Queen fans and dont like the goat
@runner_70
Yeah, you super „Queen“-troll, oh sorry „Fan“: I just wonder, why almost all your posts are in this thread about the guy you detest. ?? And I‘m glad, that all the Queen-Fans, that I met at concerts, were able to discuss things in a mannered way!
So, go on with your new buddy! You‘re laughable twats! ;)
A good read for everyone:
