Would you folks consider Adam Lambert a "rock star"?

The goat is trying to save his fading career. The pop garbage did not work now he is trying "rock" - I woinder what rock fan is waiting for a Lamefart album????

Plenty people wanted him to do rock from the beginning as it goes, but his fans continue to support him regardless. And his career's doing fine, just you and one or two others who choose to believe otherwise runner.

Lambert wants to do rock? That is like saying Lena Martell wants to do rap lol
Lambert will flop again like he has with his past albums which have hardly set the charts on fire here in the UK.

There's more places in the world than the UK. He does great in Australia, they love him in Asia and parts of Europe. As for his next album, who knows what we'll end up with, he changes his mind all the time so I'll just wait to see. No idea why you insist he can't do rock, I've heard him do various styles of music that sounded great. sd

Good news is "rockchic" novelty acts like Lambert only have limited shelf life, so when Queen finally wraps up Lambert
will get flushed down the drain like a nasty turd ha ha ha.

He has a great work ethic, is always willing to go the extra mile in anything he does, he has a reputation for being great to work with and nice to be around, he's loved by people interviewing him because he's easy to get on with and is very open and can laugh at himself, he doesn't take himself seriously. Even if his music career didn't do well after Queen, why would any of that make him likely to not get work? There's loads of opportunities for people like that, presenting, acting, theater etc. Are you seriously saying he wouldn't get work in any form of the entertainment industry?

There's also going the independent route - loads of bands are constantly touring and putting out music on independent labels. They may not be in the top charts and playing huge arena's but they're still making a living doing what they love because they have loyal fans. The one thing you can't deny is Adam has some of the most loyal fans you'll come across, they aren't going anywhere, regardless what he ends up doing.

Rockchic: What i mean is after Queen is finished Adam will never be as high up as he is now with Queen, in regards of ticket sales and publicity. It is Queen that has brought on all the attention for Lambert and without Queen he wont even get a bite of the apple next time, wait and see.
You 3 girls on here seem to be like Adam's only fans on QZ as nobody else bothers on here, so does'nt that say something?

I'm a Queen fan who just happens to like Adam as well, and to be honest I don't like predominantly Adam fan sites as they constantly post any and every thing he does, down to who clicks like on instagram posts, pictures of his house for sale, speculate on his love life etc, all stuff I have no interest in whatsoever. I'm interested in his career, not his private life.

True he might not get the ticket sales that QAL get, Queen have a massive fan base and even allowing for the die hard fans who wouldn't be seen dead at a QAL show there's enough fans to still fill arena's. I imagine he'll carry on the same as he has up to now, touring smaller venues. Nothing wrong with that IMO, you can still be successful on a smaller scale and he'll have more time to pursue other things as well.

Many QAL-fans are also in the QAL-Facebook group. It keeps growing and some newbies there state, that they came from the Official-Queen site (FB I think), because of the hate towards that collaboration. It‘s a really interesting mixture there, longtime Queenies, new Queenies and Glamberts.
If you want to talk to glamberts, you can surely also find Lambert-fansites. I once looked at one. But if you‘re not that interested in Adam, that‘s too much. ;-) BUT there was definitely more traffic and discussion going on than here or on any Queen site I’ve visited in the last years.

To make a long story short: Most glamberts are on sites, where they can talk to people , who share their interests. I guess that‘s why you are here and not there. ??

Well it makes more sense for glamberts to move over to there own sites than pitching there sale on here because they are wasting there time.
No contest were Freddie Mercury is concerned.
Many glamberts have not got a clue about basic Queen education on this site, they are only infatuated with Lambert.
Oh well ignorance is bliss.

You know, most people, who are not hardcore Queen - or Freddie-fans, are not that interested in stories about a guy, who has been dead for 26 years.

Especially not the younger ones. They enjoy Queen as they see it now. And from what I witnessed, Adam wins the young fans over (and I dare to say, he also wins many of the older fans). Because: why not? We can enjoy Queen’s music in a new way. It’s a great night out to me. Life goes on.
I always liked Queen, but I think I‘m also open minded enough to enjoy Brian and Roger with other artists. And Adam comes across as a nice, talented young man. He really surpassed my expectations, when I saw QAL 2015. And I actually don’t see any reason to compare him to Freddie. Freddie is sadly gone.

Judging by the comments on facebook there's plenty of older Queen fans who went to the shows either skeptical of Adam or just going to see Brian & Roger but came away loving him, some have even seen Freddie with Queen multiple times but they are still loving the new shows. They don't compare the two because you can't, they just enjoy it for what it is. Thing that surprised me most is they now defend him on there against the few who constantly post crap about him, even when the post is about other stuff - the movie just as an example, they genuinely like and respect him.

If that's the case why is there a Queen + AL part of the forum? And as I pointed out I'm a Queen fan who just happens to like Adam as well.

And I'm not pitching him as such, I don't care if people want to see the shows or not I just don't think he deserves some of the comments he gets on here. You can not like something without it getting personal.

Typical Glamberts not bothered about Freddies history it has to be about Adam cos Adam is the bees knees and he is current and he cant play any instrument or write the greatest pop record or even do ballet on stage and ardent Queen fans are taking to Adam etc.........

Apparently you have a problem with women and glamberts. I‘m none of that, but from what you wrote, everybody, who can enjoy Queen+ and accepts, that Freddie is dead, is a glambert. Really?
And every glambert is a woman? ?? At the concerts I saw at least as many men as women. What are we? Come to your senses, man.

And by the way: If being a Queen-fan meant to be like you, then I would deny that from now on. Thankfully most fans are sensible.
