Would you like me to post all the video's of Freddie forgetting words or fucking things up or any other artists for that matter, the curse of YouTube.
And no one could ever accuse him of being unprofessional or lazy, if you must put him down at least be accurate.

Yeah Freddie was amazing but even he wasn't perfect all the time, no one is live, might as well just listen to a recording if we want perfection.

Yeah and that's what makes live gigs special. In the 70's and early 80's Van Halen were spectacular but you never knew what you were going to get vocally from song to song, Freddie was never that bad, and most of the time he was brilliant, but there were times when mistakes and bum notes were heard. I don't think it mattered to most genuine fans who were there for the enjoyment.
Of course someone not a million miles away will say that Freddie never put a foot wrong.
Mr Lambert does have a more consistent voice than Freddie, and this has not gone unnoticed by a lot of people. Do I think he is as good as Freddie, probably not on many levels but hitting the right notes in key, and not being overshadowed by the Queen machine, Brian and Roger have got the best person for the job.

Exactly, you can't expect perfection live, it's unrealistic. Adam decided early to just do things his own way, it can only work that way IMO and one of the things I love about the shows is the chemistry onstage between them all and the fun they have. It's totally different than Freddie did things and I think that's why it works, he's a different type of person and has found a way to make it work for him, it can't be an easy gig following in Freddie's footsteps but for me he does a great job without trying to imitate or compete in any way.
@rockchick65
I agree with what you wrote, and had to chuckle about this sentence:
„...it can't be an easy gig following in Freddie's footsteps...“
This might me the understatement of the year. LOL

Yeah I was downplaying it quite a bit there lol.
Vocal Harmony: Been consistent as you point out is not everything, it does not make one a better singer than anyone else, and you cannot match Adam Lambert with Freddie Mercury because both are different singers on many levels. So you point is unjustified. Secondly Mercury is a million miles better as a singer and performer than Lambert will ever be. No contest.
Being able to bring it every night makes one a much better singer than someone who is inconsistent or can only sound good on recorded music. That is part of being a singer or musician and a very important component. No one is going to the opera if the quality of the singer is different every night.

No one is able to bring it every night. There are off nights for everyone.
These Glambert fans think the sun shines out of Lamberts fanny and it doesnt. He is nothing but a musical west end pretender.
Vocal Harmony is talking utter rubbish so whats new on these threads. Maybe he works for the gutter press or even the BBC?
I am glad that i am the only one on here who actually appreciates the old Queen band and opposes this ridiculous sickening combo from two old men and a reality singer that lost out big time on American Idol. May & Taylor make sure they get the money in by still calling the project Queen to get bums on seats. crafty and many people fall for that drivel, and the price of tickets is day light robbery for your not getting the real Queen band its watered down like Eastenders larger!
Some people will throw money at an act that is not a quarter of what it was 35 years ago.

Do you really not see how daft you sound with those comments? Why would you be glad you're the only one even if that were true? And he didn't lose big time he was runner up on a show which originally had one hundred thousand entrants, I'd say that's pretty good going personally. As to the cost, the band don't set the price and what difference does it make to you anyway since you'll never be paying it, people must think it's worth it or they wouldn't pay either.
Yes, Icy. Some singers have to bring it every night. You can't be a classical singer, opera or otherwise, or Broadway singer and not be consistent every night. If you are not, you won't be singing for long. These singers are normally trained singers and know what to do to help preserve their voices, unlike rock and pop singers. You don't often read about them cancelling shows because of vocal issues which you often do with rock and pop. Say what you like about Adam, but other than the BO RHAP "Big Deal", he has been very consistent also and that is probably because he is a trained singer and sang in musicals where this is a necessity.
Wo he should go back to his kitschy musicals and whine over there with his crap voice
