Marilyn Manson lol, not even close. Adam isn't copying Freddie he's been wearing leather outfits and black nail polish long before he started touring with Queen, in fact before he ever went on Idol, and he wore leather on Idol quite a bit. The music industry has always been full of guys wearing leather and painting their nails, it wasn't exclusive to Freddie, and Adam's made no secret of the fact that Freddie along with Bowie and George Michael were inspirations for him. As to his voice, that's subjective, he has an amazing voice, just not to your taste.

Lambert is influenced by Mercury along with others long before he got on to American Idol, but he still copies Freddie's outfits and explain him copying the crown and cape then? Coincidence then? i think not.
I’ve said this before — when Adam appears on stage in short short white shorts and nothing else or a black and white geometric onesie with his hairy chest exposed, then you can say he is copying Freddie. The coronet and gold cape he has worn are nothing even close to what Freddie wore!

All artists are influenced by someone and Adam is no different but he's only going to wear things he likes personally and clearly leather jackets, pants etc have always been something he's liked wearing, you don't see him copying any other of Freddie's various looks over the years. He wears those kinds of clothes regardless of whether he's with Queen, singing solo or even in everyday life and I can't see anything wrong with being influenced by someone, it shows if anything that he thought Freddie was cool and someone worth being influenced by, how's that a bad thing? He's always said he's a fan, he thinks Freddie was amazing and what he calls "a true rockstar" and the way he was on stage and how he wore what he wanted as the coolest thing ever. I would think of that as a compliment personally, not something to be called for.
As to the crown/cape, that's clearly his way of paying tribute to Freddie at the end of the show and meant tongue in cheek, the audience certainly gets what he's doing and don't have a problem with it. He likes to reference Freddie during the show in various ways but that's a far cry from actually copying or imitating him, you won't see him doing that.
