Lambert will be ideal to play Dorothy if they ever want to re-make "The Wizard of Oz" film.
I can see him now skipping campily down the yellow brick road holding his eye liner !

And of course Freddie was never camp and theatrical?
Freddie was a wonderful mixture of macho leather man camp but never to to the extent that Lambert plays it these days.
Lambert does push the effemine camp button to the very max!

Yes, AL camps it up completely. But only for about 15 minutes of a show, that‘ more than 2 hours. And he does it all with a little grin... I‘m ok with it. ?? Nothing to go on and on about.
Sealion, was not going on and on about it at all lol i am just a bit surprised that with Freddies input missing from Queen ( and do not forget it was a massive magical input) that many do not seem bothered that Lambert is not a quarter as talented as Freddie was.?
Since Freddie is dead, I have to take, what I can get. And I saw a great show in Wembley in December and in 2015. Sure Freddie wrote many of the songs and made the band popular (his bandmates helped though). In this way, Adam didn’t contribute anything. But how could he? And does it even matter? (Not to me.)
I felt at my last gig, that Adam is one of the most talented guys, when it comes to singing (and also singing Queen‘s songs). I don’t think, that the rock-songs are his best, but he became better through the years. And being a little camp fits Queen IMO ;)

happystar, no, Adam would never play “Dorothy”. Are you aware he played Meat Loaf’s very macho role in the TV version of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” recently?
I would call that „pseudo-macho“. Sorry, Adam will never be a macho.(nothing wrong with that!)
I would not have called Freddie „macho“, either. But he was a bit better at pretending it. ;)

Freddie loved been "The great pretender" the gay moustache the hairy chest the leather and short hair and he became the part and very popular he was too over in munich were he trolled the gay bars with friends. Adam Lambert could not be butch if he tried, he is a pussy cat.
Ha! Ha! Adam is a sexy beast. Listen to the screams for “After Hours” .....

Really what your saying here is that if you happen to be a guy man the 80's macho clone is OK with you, but anyone who portrays a more effeminate character isn't.
Your view of Lambert seems to be based on physical likes and dislikes
Happystar - What difference does it make what Adam is, or portrays. End of the day he's himself, doesn't pretend to be anything other than he is. He plays up the camp with Queen for a couple of songs, not so much with his own stuff but at the end of the day he's gay and happy as he is. Freddie wasn't able to be as open about his sexuality but he still camped it up regardless. Tokyo 79, red lurex playsuit - not much macho about that.

I'd like to ask you a couple of questions. You have no obligation to answer.
Why doesn't AL play up the camp side with Brian and Roger, and not with his own stuff? Is he wary about camping things up in his solo music? Does he have more freedom with Brian and Roger?
Freddie was who he was, and I can safely say this, without Freddie and Queen breaking down barriers,AL would not be where he is today. Many people paved the way for AL.

What about early to mid 70's when not on stage and sometimes on Freddie could be very camp, which if any was the real Freddie. Likewise isn't Lambert playing up to the audience. . .
