Happystar - What difference does it make what Adam is, or portrays. End of the day he's himself, doesn't pretend to be anything other than he is. He plays up the camp with Queen for a couple of songs, not so much with his own stuff but at the end of the day he's gay and happy as he is. Freddie wasn't able to be as open about his sexuality but he still camped it up regardless. Tokyo 79, red lurex playsuit - not much macho about that.

Why doesn't AL play up the camp side with Brian and Roger, and not with his own stuff? Is he wary about camping things up in his solo music? Does he have more freedom with Brian and Roger?

Adam would agree with that about Freddie, he says he's inspired by people like Freddie, David Bowie etc who were androgynous, camp, theatrical. I don't think he's afraid to go camp with his solo stuff I just think he changed styles a bit, especially on the third album/tour. He does do bits that are camp with his solo stuff, but he's dropped a lot of the over the top costumes and make up from the glam nation era.
