Thank you for your kind comments on my Freddie dolly. *blush* !

He probably would bear too close scrutiny regarding stitch work, but I'm really chuffed (an English word for extremely happy) with him!

I've yet to see another action man (I think you call him G.I. Joe in the U.S.) like this one, with the moustache and everything, so I think mass production may be a problem. also my sewing is so slow(I'm a must concentrate, tongue in the corner of the mouth, sewer) my customers would need to be VERY patient.

I did enjoy doing this, though. I'm glad that he brought back fond memories to you Thor. I remember Peter saying that Freddie organized a coach trip from Garden Lodge to Wembley for his friends for this concert! I'd have loved to have been on that coach!

BTW did Freddie show you that "secret" pocket. Thor? I'm guessing but was for a baggy of coke, or maybe I'm being too obvious? Or too suspicious!

I totally agree that if Mr. Lambert warranted a cameo, Peter certainly did!

Also, apart from the fact that I really don't envision Freddie being into the "cottaging" scene (I think that lovely, meticulous Freddie would balk at the idea of intimacy in a toilet !) I can't see him being tempted by Adams "truck driver" ! He looks like he wandered on to the set from a scene in "Deliverance" !

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for your kind words. It warmed my heart.

Have a brilliant weekend. Folks.

Kindest Regards

FreddieDarling.

FreddieDarling be proud...be VERY PROUD. That doll is beyond AMAZING! Did you say you included button holes on his battle jacket?? How tiny they must be.

Now I'm curious about the secret pocket. Thor or Lee Spill the Tea?

Blenkolove I love what you said about Phoebe being a huge teddy bear to dive into! I picture him that way too. Everyone should have a Phoebe! (I also say that about Tim Gunn from Project Runway if anyone knows who he is too) How very smart of Freddie to steal him away from the Royal Ballet.

I found a super sweet tribute on YouTube of Freddie and Phoebe. Videos and pictures of them, Phoebe always at his side or behind him. Never trying to get any spotlight, not even obvious sometimes...but ALWAYS THERE. How lucky Freddie was to have him!

Hey NotQuiteAShilling,

That clip of Freddie and Phoebe is adorable. Why haven't I seen it before? It was right around the time I met Freddie...or maybe it was the year before. Anyway, thanks for the link...I LOVED IT...being a Freddie AND a Phoebe fan.

Me too me too.
I loved it.

Just catching up.

Some very smart talk going on here. Was glued to the blog catching up.

Thor and I have another surprise for you, but I can’t talk about it yet. It’s in its infancy one can say.

Stay tuned. It WILL be fun.

I have more to say later. Particularly to Sant Jiub...
Brilliant commentary. You’re quite a wordsmith sounds like something Freddie would say about it.

Villier2. We have to catch up. LOVED your rap about that non truth teller and her ways, but we’re not talking about that anymore.

Freddie Darling I SEE A LINE OF ACTION FIGURES...ROCK FIGURES...CELEBRITY FIGURES.
Anyway I think you have places to go with that costuming of yours. LOL

Congratulations Rami Malek. I am BEYOND excited for your Golden Globe award! Thank you for honoring the brilliance of Freddie and pouring your heart into telling his story.

Brian, Roger, and John...how proud you must be. Congratulations to you as well!

Thank you NOT for insulting Freddie with this godawful homophobic flick showing Freddie as a depressed lonely unreliable druggie played by a guy looking like a lil boy wearing Bugs Bunny teeth and Freddie Clothes. Maylor should rot in hell for this insult of a film

Wasn't St. Juib's post a reprint of an article that Thor posted some weeks earlier??
K
I wish I could figure out how to edit or delete. After I posted the message above I noticed that St. Juib posted the link to the article. That will teach me to scroll too quickly.

Don't feel badly Katydyd,

Until I just read your post, I finally was able to realize that I too, missed the credit that Saint Jiub gave to the actual author by giving us the link at the very top of this copy of the article he was presenting.

I feel quite embarrassed. I was basically fooled because Saint Jiub's writing style is very similar to this author. He always posts a very educated and well thought-out opinion piece. It seemed just like him to create this article.

I stand corrected.
T
Oops, Lee, I think you missed the link as well. Not a problem however.

FreddieDarling, your dill is amazing! Such talent you have! Love it!

NotQuiteAShilling, thanks for sharing the video, its great!

I find that while I’m sad Freddie died years ago from such a horrible disease, I’m happy he knew to surround himself with the best people and I think all of these people, Thor and Lee , Jim Joe and Phoebe definitely included, made his short life wonderful! He had his fame and fortune but I think deep down what he really wanted and craved were good friends and he most definitely had those in you guys. I can tell you all were great friends just by the way you treat us and you don’t even know us! Much love you you Thor and Lee, two of the best people in this world. <3

*doll not dill, believe me it doesn’t look like a pickle lol. Autocorrect be damned!

Freddienotfreddy,

The concert site link you posted is a great one. I've used it a lot. I don't know who created the site, but that person did a fantastic job of collecting and organizing all of that information. It's fun to randomly pick any concert date just to read the description of how the show went. There are always interesting little tid-bits.

Another very comprehensive concert site is:

Tons of info, pictures, and memorabilia. It is also well organized and fun to browse through.

Hey Anniebee,
Thank you so much for your very kind words.
Freddie could be very sarcastic, but at the right times and was able to create humor with his sharp wit. BUT, he never once,
was hateful- it just wasn't in his character. I loved what I saw in his heart and I believe he loved what he saw in ours.He had
a few, rather outrageous friends, but he could keenly distiguish between the true friends and the false hanger-on ones.
T
Freddie dearly loved Phoebe but don't forget he also said "And there was Phoebe, cascading down the staircase like a Ruebens painting."
Phoebes reaction? Well, he laughed with all of us and really did not mind being the brunt of a Freddie joke... what a good man!
