I'll be in your gang ANYDAY Mr Stuart.
Come on, come on.... ;-)

(though the memory of seeing him perform "Dance Me Up" on Wogan with all those little girls in ballet costume, brings a shudder these days....)

We can understand the lyrics like thoughts from a young boy or a teenager, about the same age of the girl he is referring to. I don't see any problem in that.

Pretty sure I read somewhere Brian wrote part of it as a teen (currently I do not have the source so don't ask!) and it's simply about a teen relationship. Not a nonce anthem haha

Greek men had sexual relationships with underage boys a scant 2000 years ago. Should I avoid Greece as a holiday destination? Please advise.

Its written from a Schoolboys perspective read the lyrics and that is pretty obvious. As a schoolboy when I heard it first it was a bit of an anthem. Normal people who have lived through the ages of 14 to 18 will relate exactly to the lyrics and as Freddie would say "its just a song ffs"
Simply, I want to buy a sticky bun for my morning coffee. The olde bakery I buy my buns has the best pastries in town. Do I really care about the baker's personal life? Do I really care about the baker's past? Well no actually! I am quite happy to shop there because I enjoy the product - not the creator.

In otherwords, Kevin Spacey "may" be an ars*hole in real life, but that does not invalidate "Unusual Suspects" or "House of Cards".
Jimmy Page could well be a sexual preditor and as such needs to face criminal charges; but that does not invalidate "Stairway to Heaven" as a great piece of music.
If that WAS to be the case, there would be no art at all surviving beyond the middle ages, and as for music, anyone jumping on borad the Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis or Chuck Berry bandwagon?
I understand your baker theory...but you still go to the bakery because you don't know what his private life is like. Because these are celebrities we know a lot more...thus we are left in this moral conundrum as to whether to give this person profit. A better example would be 'a dozen women from your village have reported that the baker acted inappropriately to them, some have even accused him of rape. He's confessed to some of this and even admitted to masturbating in a plant pot'...

Do you still buy your buns off him?
