Dodgy stuff. In TYMD there is a lyric that says “it’s gottta be tonight, my LITTLE SCHOOL-BABE”.
Are we comfortable with that? Should it be called out?
I mention it because we haven’t heard a view on recent celeb sex-scandals from our Queen people.
It’s a Brian May (exclusively heterosexual as far as I’m aware) lyric and suggests masculine power-based domination.

In the UK the legal age for sexual consent (and marriage) is 16.

Considering one can stay on at school until they are 18; it is very common to find 16+ pupils engaged in sexual relationships.
That has always been the case, even when the song was written.

So if she is over 16, and still at school - what is the problem?

In Germany 14 years is okay for sex ( if the parents didn`t vetoing it)

Yes Dyson; I am a huge Zeppelin fan - but I have a personal take on it.

As human beings we all suffer from cognitive dissonance to some degree. I get over mine in that I can seperate art from the creator. This I call the baker syndrome.

Simply, I want to buy a sticky bun for my morning coffee. The olde bakery I buy my buns has the best pastries in town. Do I really care about the baker's personal life? Do I really care about the baker's past? Well no actually! I am quite happy to shop there because I enjoy the product - not the creator.

In otherwords, Kevin Spacey "may" be an ars*hole in real life, but that does not invalidate "Unusual Suspects" or "House of Cards".
Jimmy Page could well be a sexual preditor and as such needs to face criminal charges; but that does not invalidate "Stairway to Heaven" as a great piece of music.
If that WAS to be the case, there would be no art at all surviving beyond the middle ages, and as for music, anyone jumping on borad the Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis or Chuck Berry bandwagon?

Yes. Without any shadow of doubt Glitter deserves to be in prison.
